This sounds very very much like what happened with a certain basketball coach at Richmond last year. Oh well, you can't fight human nature. Or maybe you can.

They shut him down inside the 10. We are very predictable and vanilla when the field is compressed.
The other games today are pretty competitive, I think this year will go down as a tremendous missed opportunity for the Spiders😩🕷️🕸️🏈

Rhody had two TD by the same player called back. One when he took it to the house on a punt and the officials said he called for a fair catch (raised hand but not about shoulder, 50/50) the other for ineligible receiver down field. Really bad thing about the punt call back was Mercer gets a pick six on the next play.
CAA Co-Champions - Spiders lose to Patriot League Champs, RI loses to Southern Conference Champs. NOT a good look.
Until proven on the field, league needs to quit claiming they are among the best in the FCS . Yesterday, for sure. Now, not so much. Future, TBD. Commissioner D'Antonio's stewardship does not instill confidence for a turnaround.

Agree totally. But not our problem anymore. It appears that we have a whole new set of problems.
Watching a bit of Lehigh at Idaho. Lehigh down 27-6 early 3rd qtr. Would like to have seen what we could have done at Idaho but will never know. Nice indoor facility.

Like Richmond, Lehigh had a run first mentality for the offense this season. Against Idaho, Lehigh won the rushing battle with 169 yards, compared to Idaho's 92. Lehigh also won time of possession, 31 to 28. Idaho outscored Lehigh by out passing them, and scoring 3 passing TDs. Huesman needs to open up the offense.
Couple big differences that would have shown against also was that their receivers had great hands and speed, thus
beat Leigh deep several times. Second, on defense Idaho had very quick
LBs and DBs that closed holes quickly and covered routes very well. I thought our LBs were good between the hash marks but got beat a lot on the outside runs due to lack of speed. Lehigh did not quit but QB was their only effective runner and their OL got little push.

There are about 5 schools that need to move up to FBS. The problem is no one wants them.

Watched some of that game. Really impressive team and talent. QB impressive. Watching SD St destroy IC - 31 to 0 at half. Their QB is top notch. Guy on TV said he turned down 7 figure NIL deal in Big10 to come back and play another year. Wow - a boatload to turn down. Guess he thinks will get it back in NFL.
Got to say that Big Sky and MVC teams absolutely having their way with competition. Football is everything out in Montana and both Dakotas.
Huesman should have resigned, when he found out the president was looking to move to the Patriot. That was his only mistake. Jim Reid saved the program 20 years ago. Rocco saved the program 7 years ago.
Our school's wholesale loss of players was caused by the President of the school. Huesman didn't do this to our football team. He took our team to the playoffs for 3 straight years. He's not a great coach, but he is a good one.
We are now finding out that the assurances UR had to continue its football operating practices were either 1) incorrect, 2) misunderstood by UR, or 3) understood by the UR president and ignored.
At best, our president made the move without fully analyzing the effect a move to the Patriot would cause.
At worst, our president made the decision, but he hid the implications and dissembled about it when the issues were raised.
What did President Hallock know and when did he know it?
Either way, it was a hasty decision.
