Well at least our coach knows what to do at Sam Houston and has more tools to do if

Yes, I think 2017 is the second year in the rotation, so it would be a straight home-and-home flip of the conference games.

What will be interesting is 2018 - Delaware is not on our "fixed" list of opponents, so I wonder if Rocco's return to Richmond will make the rotation, or we'll have to wait until 2020.

It will be more fun beating his butt in Newark with his marching bands, tailgating and electric atmosphere. He can embrace that.

Amen, brother. I think we need to come up with some kind of "landscape" cheer for all the time we'll be spending in their end zone.

Add in Yale. Unless something has changed we have a 2017, 2018 Home-Home with Yale. Saw it in one of our football programs this past season.

Ah, ya...weird. I remember mention of Yale on here. If Yale is in, either Colgate or Howard is out because we only have 3 non-conference games again next season.

Edit: Per this post, the Yale series is in 2019 and 2020.

It's Sam Houston State, Howard and Colgate.

I think we only have 5 home games next year.

It's smart for both SHSU & UR to schedule a perennial FCS contender OOC. I realize SHSU is the fill-in for FBS BC, but it's a good one.

Oh, That's it. 2019-20. Knew the Bulldogs were coming up but couldn't remember when...thanks.

Tough away schedule next year. By the way Wynn just pickup a roughing the passer penalty against the Lions.

I'm not sure what other updates you want. We know the OOC opponents and dates. We won't know the dates and opponents for CAA play until that schedule is released by the league, which is not for awhile.

BC bought us out for 2017.
What did you hear was reason why? Don't we still play them in 2019?
For some programs the FBS game is usually a disaster played just for money but I think it's a benefit on a few levels for us to play a FBS team although preferably not a SEC team

I believe it assists with recruiting, but the risk of injures and near guaranteed loss may out weigh the benefits. I would leave the final decision up to the staff

Here are the OOC I believe we have over the next several years. If anyone knows differently, please feel free to correct. I'm sure this is subject to change.

2017 - at Sam Houston, at Colgate, Howard
2018 - at Virginia (FBS), Fordham, St. Francis
2019 - at Fordham, Jacksonville, Yale
2020 - at Pittsburgh (FBS), at Yale, St. Francis
2021 - at Virginia Tech (FBS)

And our new assistant Carey Bailey was head coach at Howard 2007-2010.

I am not a fan of the schedule for two reasons:

1- Early Bye.
2- Two stretches with consecutive road trips late in the season - November is going to be absolutely brutal.
