This is asking a lot of 3 freshman and a sophomore who for all intents and purposes have not seen the floor yet.
No doubt, I like the freshman class a heck of a lot more that the sophomore class. I think they will quickly supplant them in the pecking order. Still they are freshman.
Like the frosh but they are having their first go around at the D1 level. Certainly not something to rely upon night in and night out. Lots of questions marks heading into the season. Lets see how it shakes out. I'd be ecstatic with a 1st year Anthony like performance from 2 of the 3 frosh.
Sherod and Buckingham should have plenty of opportunity. I see Mooney using Sherod as a situational shooter. In other words when Mooney is looking for shooting, Sherod will play a lot. Other situations not as much. I agree with others who have said that Buckingham should share time with Fore.
One (or both) of either Golden and Friendshue MUST be solid and consistent contributors for the Spiders to be more than just competitive. I think that .500, above .500, or well above .500 will be determined by the cumulative production of the inside players not named Cline (including Wood). Rebounding, defense, and scoring are all BIG question marks here though, it will be interesting to see if someone(s) can rise up.
If Mooney plays the first half of the season with the new guys mostly on the bench just because they are freshman (which has been his pattern in years past) he will be screwing up big time.

- Our new freshman seem more physically ready than previous classes, from a size/weight perspective - Sherod (6-4, 220), Monte (6-4, 215), Golden (6-9 240)
- TJ Cline has shed a few pounds over the past season. I think he's primed for a big year.
-Abakah and Stansbury have been added to the roster. Although Stansbury's class is listed as "Unknown". Guess we're still pending the NCAA decision on his eligibility this year. Hope it doesn't take as a long as our admissions decisions.
- Chase Fletcher is back on the roster. Guessing as a walk-on.
