Great tribute to Rusbuldt and Menges - their friendship, their defensive skills, and their many contributions to Spider lacrosse. Will miss seeing them on the lacrosse field. Best to them as they move on in life!

Tough loss 9-8 to Air Force. Credit to their goalie and their faceoff wins. Richie Connell was bright spot for us with 5 goals. We may see Air Force again in first game of So Con tourney if Bellarmine beats Mercer today which will give AF 4th seed.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but looks like we dominated most facets except faceoffs and the one that really counted. Tourney starts Wednesday...wonder if AF is heading home either way today or if they'll hang around town if they make it.

Bellarmine and Mercer currently tied at 6 early in the fourth.

with AF defense.They play a tight zone which cuts off inside passing which UR excels and protects goalie.AF goalie had 18(yes 18) saves.Unheard of amount.

Bellarmine going to take the 10-8 win, so we'll have to face Air Force again on Wednesday.

Edit: Check that...after taking a timeout with possession and 5 seconds left, Bellarmine on the restart fired it straight to a guy streaking to the goal to push the margin to 11-8.

We know what we will face in Air Force and am certain Chemotti will make adjustments. Not to the extent of UVA whom we have never beaten but we have had more than our share of losses against Air Force lacrosse winning 2 and losing 7.

Great win and face High Point at noon on Friday for championship. Regular season we beat High Point 17-10. Chemotti will ensure Spiders take nothing for granted and are ready for the High Point game.
