GMU also lost their last game. Regardless this would seem to be a near must win for the Lady Spiders for at large consideration as could occur early in the conference season.

Have to get through UMass first on Sunday. GMU will be a great game at the Robins Center on Wednesday. Hopefully there will be a good turnout for the game!

They play at UMASS first on Sunday.

But yeah all margin is basically gone. We've lost some shine. Maybe the ooc sos can carry us a bit if we end up in the at large conversation. Hard to lose to Gtown to Fordham as big favorites.

Do we think the game happens tomorrow with the current water situation going on in Richmond? UR is partly in Henrico so perhaps will be okay from that perspective, but not sure. Also curious if VCU v. Rams on men’s side will take place too.

17 - I was wondering the same thing. I was watching the 11pm news and it said UR was closed on Wednesday. The combination makes me wonder if the game can be played as scheduled.

The game will proceed as scheduled but no fans will be allowed due to the ongoing water issues.
I thought the RC was located in Henrico County not the City of Richmond, which is where the ongoing water issues are impacting. I know Eastern Henrico is impacted as well but we are not Eastern Henrico. VCU is also considering no fans tonight for their men's game to this issue as well.

RC is in the City of Richmond. Even tho VCU AD would have u believe otherwise. Obviously we border Henrico but...

"Most of the campus lies within the city limits; a small section of the south campus, including the Special Programs Building (home to the campus police), intramural sports fields, and most of the campus apartments, lies within Henrico County"

SFSpidur probably has a link to a map or something but he's been MIA.

But I also know this well because I was once busted for underage drinking at the Apartments. Yep underage drinking at your own college. Not drunk in public or anything....just drinking (probably Milwaukee's best...the Beast!). I was 20 years old.

Thankfully I went to Henrico Court not City of Richmond. And I got one Archie Yeatts as judge, huge Richmond fan/supporter & alum. he let me off scot free. I think I winked at the prosecutor & cop when I walked out. Thank u Archie, thank u Henrico. If anyone knows him please give him GKiller's best!

I was quite happy about the border at that time. But it's really only that small area on our campus.

You were a student when he was judge?
I was on my second job after graduation when I did work for his firm while he was still a law partner, I believe.

Yes, correct. wasn't that clear from my story?....what kind of reading comprehension is that...lol. no idea how long he had been a judge.

I could have added even more context....I was actually only a few weeks away from turning 21 when busted....he incredulously raised that to the henrico prosecutor atty too. Then he was like I'm taking this under advisement and said I don't want to see u stumbling across the parking lot at the next football game. I walked out of that courtroom like I was Daniel Day Lewis from In the Name of the Father.

I really don't know him beyond that interaction & seeing him occasionally at UR sports. Tho many years later I ran into him outside RC and made a point to thank him. I think he said something to the effect that he became harder on those offenses later. Certainly the U of R connection didn't hurt.

Oh the Beast, 24 cases on cans t the CVS I think were like 4.99 at CVS. I did become generally beer snobby by the middle of sophomore year however.

What an incredible game! George Mason is a really good team. Vanessa Blair-Lewis has done an incredible job building their program. George Mason deserves an at-large spot in NCAAs and they will absolutely be contending for the A10 tournament title.

watched end of game. apparently we were down 16 in 1st qtr. so great comeback esp because the goo moos r a good team. But I'm also not sure Lady Spiders r as good as shown in beginning of year. could just be a little off tho.

also, there were some fans. Not many of course but clearly a few got in. Always odd when u announce game is closed to all fans yet some r there. not sure how that works. I assume a few r family but not all & if game is closed its closed to all minus working personnel.

Roussell remains a very good listen postgame.

I never did. Of course we also drank Mad Dog 20/20. Now I couldn't drink either of those 2 now but give me a Coors Light and I'm great.

Also that CVS sold kegs back then too.

Makers on the rocks followed by good French or Italian red wine is my pattern at the moment but yes MadDog memories do exist ...
