William & Mary to join Patriot League in 2026

Invite them to the PL too!
You are right, it is confusing, found a HC in Indiana also. Pretty sure this is PL HC, they were one with only a few offerings:
Through a variety of master's programs and continuing education programs, fellowships, Holy Cross- and Worcester-specific programs, and post-graduate volunteer opportunities, students particularly interested in civic engagement can continue to pursue learning in community-based work.

There are plenty of opportunities for colleges to add graduate programs- an excellent case in point is the UR School of Continuing Studies, they offer an excellent degree in Data Analysis. It is also one of the highest paying degrees one can get from UR. This would be an outstanding fit with Holy Cross and Lafayette and would fit nicely with Bucknell and Colgate.

AFAIK, they only have a few divinity programs. Anything else would be a 4+1 type program to allow Holy Cross undergrads to get a master through a partnered university...like teaching through Clark or science/engineering through WPI. But that wouldn't be a pathway for grad transfer.

I still think that the PL promised a couple of concessions to Richmond to get us to change and follow
through with joining the PL conference.
32 probably knows this better than anyone. Do we have any grad students in our recruiting targets?
As noted an in above post....

Huesman said the graduate-transfer prohibition “has always been a sticking point for Villanova in making the decision, so I don’t know what’s going to happen with it. I just know that we’re not recruiting grad transfers right now.”

I guess if the Patriot League wants Villanova bad enough, it will make a concession to allow grad transfers.

I understand their hesitancy, because quite often grad transfers show up for a semester, play their sport, then leave. They are really student/athletes in name only, as they have no intention of completing the degree process.

We had a guy several years ago, who was a back-up and got two years of law school paid for him. He was a transfer from Air Force, IIRC. I admire a person who can play football and take a full course load in law school. That was someone special.
