I have no reason to think they won’t but players have their own plans. Nick could just be tired of b’ball, (remember Jeff Snyder), Goose wants more playing time, etc

I mean, if someone who didn't play much wants to leave so that we can bring Landers Nolley onboard, I'm ok with that. Otherwise, I hope they all stick around.

I think UR is the kind of place that guys want to stay but ultimately it probably boils down to playing time and postseason/pro aspirations. Most of those core guys have a good chance meeting those things if they stay Spiders.

I mean, if it's about postseason aspirations, wouldn't they want to stay here? All that hard work to get to this point, why would they want to pass now? As far as playing time, well, the entire starting five will graduate next year. Frees up 200 minutes of playing time if that's what they are looking for. Seems to me the underclassmen have EVERY reason to stay.

I would be kind of shocked if anyone left. First Mooney has already come out and said he expects everyone back. Secondly, with the pause in recruiting right now, players wanting to transfer might not have all of the same options that they have in normal years.

I think if there's a silver lining to the cancellations, it's that the odds of this improved. These guys have unfinished business.

I agree. I think if we'd missed out on a bid, there may have been a hint of "we did all we could and still didn't get a bid, so maybe I should try somewhere else" feeling.

But these guys know they deserved a bid this year, and hopefully they're all up to do it again next year.

I recall Mooney saying that in past years, only to have guys leave. ANO is one example where he got blind-sided.

Also not sure how much of an effect the current situation will have on it. Half of Wichita State's roster (7 guys!) is already headed out the door, and I've seen some guys with some pretty impressive stats hitting the portal. But yes, going to be difficult with the recruiting ban in place.

Correct...just an in-person ban. So calls and texts are fine, but no in-home or on-campus (official or unofficial) visits. Hard for both sides to evaluate fit without that.

I don’t see any of our players NBA bound. European, yes.
But to leave in hopes of giving themselves a better step up
Reminds me of a recent player that went to Louisville.
Where is he now?

Keith Oddo? Probably taking online classes to complete his Masters.

But, couldn’t he have just easily gone to Cyprus from Richmond? That’s my point.
He’s not NBA bound, unless I’m missing something.

I think maybe he wanted to play for a program that wasn’t as embarrassment. But he was classy enough to not publicly say that

He wanted to play at the P6 level. Check.
He wanted to play in the NCAA tournament. Check.

Do we have to keep beating this dead horse?
We’re talking about players staying, and not leaving because they
think they’re going to advance their position. It really has nothing to
Do with Khwan.
Please pay attention. LOL

Speaking of staying together...
With nothing else to do...
Did I just notice Buckingham was one of NINE Juniors at Bakersfield playing 12 minutes or more?
Now that would be difficult to keep together...
