It seems as though we can hit, our fielding is good, but our pitching is very suspect Couple starters are good but we don't have a strong closer. Would love to hear from someone in the know.

Injuries to starting pitchers is the problem. The rest of the pitchers are doing their best but starting to hit a wall.
It's a shame because this really could have been a monster team with all the pop in the lineup.

Got a great pitching performance today from freshman Zak Sterling in a 2-1 win over LaSalle. Sterling gave up 4 hits and 1 earned run in 7 innings and Alex Maffett closed it out with two shutout innings.
Great news. Contrats to the guys. Getting a win tomorrow would make for a great start to the A10 slate.
Lack of pitching consistency, but found a way to take 2 of of 3 in LaSalle series this weekend. Closed it out with 7-5 win this afternoon. Way to go Spiders! Nice to see you bounce back from after Friday's loss.

The season is just starting. Only conference games count. We will be fine, barring injury. The team is a bashing team with freshman & sophomore-dominated pitching. Give it time to bake. Team lacks speed and tends to doubt itself sometimes. Junior/Senior leadership needs to buck up, have patience and take charge. Keep things positive.
Need to clean up the fielding, way too many errors. Look for Blum to become a weekend starter. Midweek games are fun but inconsequential, time to give the young guys needed experience and confidence, rest the "big guys" through rotations and DHing. Focus on the conference championship and this team will be fine.
