Who's better at this point of the season -- the purple pukes or the wahoos?

UVA would have been satisfied with a 10 point loss in Raleigh. I see those teams a pretty much equals.

At this point, UVA with their new quarterback looks every bit as formidable as NC State.

Probably in the minority but I think the jury is out on this guy as a passer. That speed won’t look as elite against ACC programs but does look like their best q.b in some time. Although that’s not saying much.

Sumpter and Doherty DNP.Appears we had only 1 sub for the OL-Tyler Cole.

Keels DNP nor Goodall

Are we getting these guys back for Fordham?

NC State has a very good, veteran qb. I'm afraid JMU's defense is quite good to hold NCSU to 24 points...I know our fans may not like to hear that.

We made Uva look a little better than they are with missed tackles, etc. Their new qb is certainly dangerous on the run and they are definitely improved as a team.

keels and sumpter are very likely; no x probably till conference play, and Doherty was on crutches w/ leg cast at practice last wed ....sure his absence is indefinite

Been watching the replay.....(I know, I'm a glutton for punishment). Is Vinson hurt? He whiffed...badly....on two consecutive tackles, so much so that it looks like he was avoiding contact. This was in the third quarter after the Trau/Huesman incident. First one was a 3rd down bubble screen where he was unblocked.

Hate to admit it but based on their performance thus far JMU looks to have not missed a beat. Their QB looked good and their Ol was able to give them large chunks of yards. This was on top of the news of losing their defensive preseason player of the year. At least Delaware crapped the bed vs Rhode Island.

I don't think he was hurt. Promising young player that had a tough game. He will be better for the experience.

Agree with everything you said. I watched both games, and your points are spot on.

I'm not sure how good UVa really is, but if if I had to guess, I'd say their final record will be similar to last year. Not seeing a breakout year. I think the league catches up with Perkins.
