As we speak Mooney is chewing out Andre for trying to rebound and being called for a foul. Money will beat that rebounding instinct out of the kid if it kills him.

Cox cable sucks. No audio for the announcers. Can hear the crowd and the PA announcer but not the actual people calling the game. Having to watch it on my iPad. How can the nbc sports app have volume and nbc sports network doesn’t? Oh yeah, the commercials come in loud and clear.
Who are Gillard and Ki-0 (long I). Shouldn’t the announcers at least learn how to pronounce the names?

I heard all of those. Happens every year. the announcers can't look at a sheet that has the names phonetically spelled out. I blame Mooney
Danny Manning is every bit as good a coach as Mooney . They both suck

Feel fortunate. One announcer stated "guy can coach, he can flat out coach" in reference to Mooney. Come to think of it he didn't use the word well or good.
If the criteria is standing near a bench and walking the sideline while occasionally sip from a paper cup and pretend to yell at the officials, then he can coach.
The TV guys made a good point. He missed the shootaround and last practice.

Wake has a ton of unforced errors. They're gonna be in that Tuesday afternoon play-in game in the ACC tournament.

Thoughts on the game.
Cayo is looking more and more like an A10 starter. The guy has confidence and has been playing to his strengths. Kudos to the fight our guys have. Even though we still never go for offensive rebounds, and our perimeter defense is very suspect, we played well.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Danny Manning might honestly be a worse coach than Mooney. Considering that he is in the ACC and has a bunch of 4 star recruits and a few top 100 recruits on his team. This team has a good chance to go defeated in ACC play.
I’m proud of our guys. They play with heart and tenacity. With the right coach and balance of skill set and size on the court, we can do big things.
As an aside, these announcers today were exceptionally awful. Mispronouncing our players names, calling us Richmond University, saying Mooney is a fantastic coach, saying Gilyard’s biggest weakness is free throw shooting, among other things. They clearly did 0 prep work for this game.

Coach, when you show some faith in the bench by giving them some real minutes without a short leash, often they will respond to the challenge.

Good performance by UR tonight. CAYO was UNREAL and not one Spider (maybe Wojcik?) I can say didn't contribute tonight. As bad as Spider defense has been, WF couldn't do anything against it. Manning and frosh have to grow up fast to avoid the ACC cellar.

Doubtful. Going into the Georgetown game, The Richmond Spiders were:
- 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
- 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss.
- 21-49-5 ATS in their last 75 non-conference games.

Being there, my immediate thought on Cayo was, Damn, he is just playing basketball and not going through the Mooney motions. He got the ball around the paint, put his head down and created contact or scored. He was aggressive fighting for rebounds. He played defense in the post WITH HIS HANDS UP! All things we never see from Mooney big men. It was glorious.
We were 24-34 inside the 3 point line. 6-22 from 3 and wait for it.......... 18-21 from the free throw line. That’s how you win when you can’t rebound. +12 turnovers was nice too. Only 3 turnovers for a bunch of freshman and sophomores is pretty amazing.
