Because until proven otherwise our basketball program is terrible..Not sure how Nolan does preseason rankings, but he has us very low compared to other preseason rankings at 226. We have an average preseason ranking of 138, with a high of 73, according to https://www.masseyratings.com/cb/compare.htm
The 1-11 on the road is the most humbling part. Yikes.
It's been a long time since our program experienced this level of disrespect from the prognosticators.
Exactly - we have given them no other reason to think things will be different. The only thing we have going for us now is we have a lot of players returning - but remember, that is a lot of players returning from a 13 win team. Even Fordham - who has been terrible, has players returning - but they don't pick them to get better any given year. Not to mention - the teams that were good last year in the A10 have a lot returning as well.Because until proven otherwise our basketball program is terrible..
Nolan Formula (regular season results only):Not sure how Nolan does preseason rankings, but he has us very low compared to other preseason rankings at 226. We have an average preseason ranking of 138, with a high of 73, according to https://www.masseyratings.com/cb/compare.htm
I guess we need to wait for more data before panicking about this

Nolan Formula (regular season results only):
2020 Wins = 2019 Wins - (2020 Scholarship Players Added - 2019 Scholarship Players Lost + Grad Transfers Not Granted 6th Year of Eligibility)
2020 Losses = 2019 Losses - Head Coaches with 20 Loss Seasons Retained
It seems pretty straightforward.
