UVA is overrated

Overall uva is not that good of a team this year. They loaded up on wins against the middle of the pack and lower level ACC teams, whenever they have actually played a good team this year (Gonzaga, FSU, Tech) they have not fared well. This is also the worst the ACC has been as a conference in a while so this uva team is not impressive at all.
I mean, they are#7 in the nation. FSU also has a ridiculous home court winning streak going on, I believe, and is a damn good team too.
I dunno. I think their future is pretty bright.
Schadenfreude lives within me no doubt but this board has it in spades too. That wouldn't bother me except I do think it helps brings out the trolls. What really bothers me is nobody on other boards is hoping we'll fall apart like we do them. That would actually be nice. It would be nice if over on VCU board they were wishing to for UR not to go to NCAA again or not have a NBA draft pick. Instead we get the trolls who just want us to stay mediocre or worse. Hooray! It gets old talking about local and state teams success when we r not relevant enough. I welcome the day trolls come because we've done something really good.

I have watched FSU a few times now, Leonard Hamilton is bringing in NBA bodies on a contstant recruiting cycle. When they shoot like that, this is a team that could take down Gonzaga or Baylor.
UVA will be alright, that is for sure. Bennett's teams are not super fun to watch, but if I were a UVA fan I would take that all day and all decade for the winning. My daughter was just accepted to UVA, so who knows......WahooWaWahooWa23 coming to a message board? I'll go and spar with 4700 on the wahoo board haha.

Thanks G, when I looked up cost of attendance out of state, I was like WOW, all state schools are pretty pricey out of state but UVA is more than most. So far they are also offering best financial package by far too, so it is looking like a top option at the moment. Would be cool because would get to Richmond more and probably see some games in person. I think they have a suite with PQ and Jabba waiting for me
Bennett is about as good as they get and that’s coming from a Tech fan. Mike Young would have been a more realistic guy for UR to hire at one point but they kind of missed the boat there. Who knows maybe Mooney will take the BC job this off-season.

Ha you'll have to get your own suite. But if u do lmk I'll come into Richmond town, we'll get Pig Beach to send bbq down, put on our Regatta blazers and Jabba will be a mortal lock to drop by anyway.
UVA fans weren't even expecting to be that great this year. And here they are ranked number 7 in the country. And here we are with our once in a decade team, Moondog put together, unable to play basketball cause we can't manage health and safety protocols.

In fact, the entire ACC is overrated, especially this year. What a bunch of babies, prima donnas is too mature. Duke's star player has quit the season. I would expect no less after their glorious leader said he wanted to cancel the season, after bailing out of their last 2 OOC games.

I'm very interested to see how K reacts. He already was talking about bailing on the season once. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that conversation with Jalen Johnson.

This could be the first year since the early 1960's that UNC, Duke and Kentucky all miss the NCAA tournament in the same year. Although, through sleight of hand, all three will probably make it in.

Winning the SEC Tourney from the play-in round seems like a very Calipari thing to do.
UVa played as hard as they could. It was a close, hard fought game. The future is still bright.
Yes, and UVA is still overrated. Feces U forfeit and UVA loses. At least today is better than yesterday. Bring on Mississippi State.
