UR Spring Ball

i know the true freshman cant do anything in the spring football practice, what are they allowed to do now as far as getting ready for the season? cause it seems this year we will a need a bunch of them

Looks like we’re picking up some good PWOs. Can be some real gems there if you invest.

With 5 healthy and 3 injured linemen pictured above we will be in the desperate need of battle ready incoming frosh of Ryan Coll,Tom Elia,Gavin Lamp and Cade Salyers.

There’s a new name on the Spring game roster which is previously unmentioned.Looks like a Mid year Walk on from Lawrenceville School,NJ,Punter,6-4,200,Evan Montre.

Keyston Fuller,WR RSr transfer from Duke is not on the Spring game roster. It is assumed
he’ll be joining UR this summer.

I went today. Didn't really pay close attention to individual players a ton, but was moderately intrigued by RS freshman QB Braxton Hughes. He can run and throw, made some nice plays and seemed confident back there from what I could tell.

We have a TE who is built like bowling ball and he spun off about a 40-yard YAC play that was nice. #10 on defense made a great play in the backfield.

Our long snapper was not good. Mis-snapped about three on field goal attempts. Kickers were similarly not good, though at least one miss by Trau was a direct result of the snap.

with 12 games and potential for playoffs, we'll need everyone of them

Not sure how Russ will get to 87.Admissions
rep must be housed in RC next to Russ office.Let’s hope so because it looks like we’re adding 14 including transfers and walkons.

We only had about 40 dressed today. Another 10 or 12 in sweats, some injured and others they just held out because there was no point risking injury. Eighty-seven seems like a pipe dream.

UR athletics doesn’t worry about delivering results...but don’t worry. We did decide not to renew the women’s basketball coach after a decade of losing.

I'm telling you now we have a QB coming from out west. Local ties. You will here soon. WCAC GUY. HINT HINT.....

Fly Fly is the word. Hint Hint. Told by a reliable source. Off we go into the wild blue yonder......Lol

The last quarterback to transfer here was also from Maryland...Jake Clise (LSU). That didn't pan out too well. We'll see.

A Loyola Blakefield kid. Come on dude they don't play ball at Loyola Blakefield. Do your research .They don't play in the A conference or B conference in the MIAA let alone its not A football factory. They didn't want to play Saint Francis (forfeit) or any powers in the Region. Google local Maryland MIAA teams FORFEIT title to St Francis. They are a laughing stock up in MD. WCAC plays ball.....Stay Tune!!!!

I would look at Beau English

DeMatha had 2 great teams during his junior, senior years. They were highly ranked nationally.

College transfer portal:

High School Stats:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/allmetsports/dematha/beau-english/?utm_term=.04db4d8aa8cb

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound English came to Air Force as part of a long family military line and after a record-breaking career at DeMatha, a perennial power in Maryland. He is DeMatha’s all-time passing leader with 4,558 yards, adding 45 passing touchdowns and 23 on the ground.

While at AFA,Beau has been rostered but not sure he has played. He should have 2 years eligibility remaining,
at a minimum. Not uncommon for AFA transferee students to transfer before their 3rd year.Otherwise,
those Cadets are financially responsible for the already received 2 years of `free education -tuition/room/Board.

Still feel it ain’t over til it’s over.Always good to have a Plan B.

We’ve had a lot of luck with Dematha guys. Think our last QB from there lead us to the playoffs.

It's over 100 percent.....Guaranteed! Bet A beer and steak on it at Ruth Chris!....... Any takers! Its on fellas in the CAA!

We’ve had a lot of luck with Dematha guys. Think our last QB from there lead us to the playoffs.

Sean Gustus was the DeMatha kid. Gustus (5-9, 190) was a single threat QB. Speed and quickness were his strengths. The ice in Montana ruined Sean’s footing on that tundra day in the playoffs.Brian Westbrook and Sean were classmates at DeMatha.

Coincidentally,Junior D'Arcy Wills was a transfer from the Air Force Academy and on the same team.

Yup - was in school with both. Sean I believe is still a Scout with the Patriots.
