UR Football Alumni Golf Event

On April 14th, the Friday before the spring football game, the UR football alumni will be hosting a golf event at Independence Golf Course for former football players.

I am contacting the blog to make you aware and get the word out. If any of you know former football players, please let them know about that we will be playing golf on April 14th and they can sign up using the link cited below.

Also, we need sponsors for holes and coaches fees. All of Coach Huesman's staff will be participating and their fees need to be covered.

A FWIW FYI: Independence Golf Club is owned by Pros, Inc. of which Giff Breed (B.A., UR 1981) is the President, CEO, and a principal. The other principal is his brother Alan. Giff played baseball at UR. He is a big supporter of Spider Athletics. He is also the brother of Michael Breed, the 2012 National PGA Teacher of the Year, who has his own golf instruction show on the Golf Channel, The Golf Fix, and graduated from Randolph-Macon College and is now in their Hall of Fame.
Gift's niece, Eliza Breed played on the UR women's golf team from 2012-2014.
