UR at North Dakota State

As Ray Tate would say "they will need to tie their helmets on, because Richmond is coming to play."

we've got the worse (or is it worst?) travel, why on earth did we get the Friday night game?

I think because NDSU has graduation Saturday, JSU has it Friday. So JSU got the Saturday game...

Friday nights have worked out for us just fine. I have no problem with fhe date or time.

Signed up to answer any questions you have regarding the Fargo area if you plan on making the trip for the game. Fire away.

even without the NDSU graduation aspect, i suspect we would have gotten the Friday night game based solely on numbers. we are a small school unable to send large bunches of fans. the Friday game is more difficult logistically and, if we are going to produce less fans than Sam Houston, it makes sense for the NCAA to assign us that one. that said, i agree with B. i don't have an issue with the date or time.

16 additional hours between games is not going to make that much difference. The fact that our staff got to study MVFC tapes for two weeks will be of more assistance -- let's play this thing

Too bad we don't play Saturday. I seem to remember December 19th being a special day for us in the past......

Coach very complimentary of spiders. Best oline faced. Sounds like they are in middle of exams

He sees Special Teams and turnovers to be key. Expect them to mix up the punt returns to counter and take advantage of our pooch kicks. Also, he noticed Lauletta's tendency to throw balls up, hoping our receivers catch the ball. He knows Richmond can turn the ball over.

Don't have a lot of faith in the accuracy of the depth chart in the game notes referenced above, but for what it is worth, All-American QB Carson Wentz still not listed in two deep.

Just to follow-up. He called those throws by Lauletta "50-50 balls". He also noted that Lauletta tended to throw passes into an area the size of a "mailbox". They will focus on that and attempt to make interceptions. That is what the Albany coaches saw first. The turnover battle will be key.

Easton is 8-0 with 2 playoff wins this season...Carson will not play Friday he didn't dress Saturday

now if we make it to Frisco then I could see him possibly playing

He was talking about UNIs line.

This will be Carsons last game in the Fargo Dome.
I assure you, he will dress and be ready to play.

Slow hand, no problem, I do the same thing frequently. Your coach, is impressive, you are lucky not to lose him to a BCS school.

Slowhand,

Rocco likes the team to be totally familiar with and comfortable with the game venue. He and team will take a close look at the Fargo Dome, get adjusted to lighting, etc. I know, I have heard repeatedly...not the noise that will come Friday night. We shall see.

Great respect for your program and what you have accomplished. You do have a great defense, but you have not played an O with the weapons the Spiders have. You can be cut quickly and deeply by a number of different players - run or pass. I do not believe your D line will push around our O line or tire them down. Your conference does not have a exclusive on physicality.

TOs and special teams will decide the game IMO.

Whatever they are doing on Thursday it will be better than prior to UNH...

Impressive Coach -- I can certainly understand how he is able to prepare his teams so well

Coach K is incredible. Bohl (last coach) went to FBS 2 years ago.
The way he did it was disgusting. He was treated like royalty in Fargo, but now he is very tarnished to most.

Yep, been there, done that, Dave Clawson left for UTenn, John Belien left for WVA, Mike London left for UVA. Two of the three were heartbreakers. Programs like your not only reload players but seem to the same with coaches. I trust we can watch a great game on Friday.

Some coaches will use a national championship, to launch themselves into a lucrative FBS job. Gotta hand it to a coach that wins 4 national championships, and stays put.
