Apparently Big Al mentioned today that UR and VCU will be in the A-10/ACC challenge next season at Barclays. No word on the ACC representatives yet.

Yes, both are correct: we play two different times at Barclays next year. Coach Jones mentioned this on the show Monday night. ACC opponents unknown as yet, but the good news is that Virginia Tech and BC both played it in this year, so it won't be them (though admittedly, Tech is playing pretty well and should be even better next year). But the rest of the ACC schools are at least nice names and most are excellent programs too.

I assume they wouldn't put UVA in the mix next year, and I doubt they'd pair us with Wake since we have a series ongoing. Hopefully they give us anyone else except for Clemson or GT, neither of which excite me.

I hope they don't move our annual Wake game to the Barclay's center. Would be really good to get a second ACC game.

Thanks, 8L, glad to hear it directly from UR staff. I tried to listen to the radio show on YouTube, but the recording was so terrible it was unintelligible. They even uploaded it twice, but double the garbage is still garbage. Really wish they had better quality recording for these things...it's frequently very bad.

I don't care, still not cheering for Lambs, no matter what.

Unless a Lamb win sends us to the dance, I'm not doing it.

I'll pull for the Russian National Team before I pull for FecesU...and I'm sure the feeling is mutual with an overwhelming majority of their fans.

To reiterate, I hope vdu loses all games from now through eternity. OSC

Please remind me which ACC representatives have already played in this, so we can scratch them off the list of ACC bottom feeders that we won't be playing there. BC and VT played this year, right? How about last year?

I believe it is December 2015/2016/2017. So only one so far St Joe/VT & Fordham/BC.

I expect this year to be VCU/GT & UR/WF and both to replace previously scheduled games here in Richmond.

Just to note that this is no "challenge", it is simply pay back for the ACC preempting the A10 tournament at the Barclay Center. OSC

according to several posters, we are never ever allowed to root for vcu
Have you ever tried rooting for VDU? It will make you physically ill!! You IQ will drop 25% and you will lose all ambition. :)

The southern teams playing in NY in front of empty stadium. Smart

I really hope that's not the case and that we get to play against some other ACC team. Having a schedule of Wake Forest, Texas Tech, Maryland/Kansas State/Boston College (2 of 3) and another decent ACC team would be the making of another strong OOC schedule

Just FYI- We have a home game scheduled with GT and are in a Tournament with Louisville Thanksgiving weekend (Battle 4 Atlantis).

As someone else posted, Saint Joseph’s and Virginia Tech and Fordham and Boston College were this year.

This year we played three ACC teams, Duke, GT and Florida St. I'd love to see UNC play either of us.

I'm hearing that the game will be Tuesday, December 20th. Week night, but count on a lot of Ram fans being there. Most of us are out of work and can hop a freight train up to NYC anytime we want.

Wonder if some fool in the A-10 office had some bright idea that if they sent VCU and ur the same year we would actually root for each other?

Actually they thought we would carpool..

Wonder if they will keep the old big east theme, UR vs Notre Dame and VCU vs Syracuse?

I'll take a stab and say Syracuse (NY team that always travels well to NYC) and Pitt.

Richmond vs Pitt, VCU vs Syracuse.

***We played UNC last year or year before up at Mohegan Sun....another game we should've won.

SF, check on espn950am.com in the future, they usually are pretty quick to load the spider sportsline to their audio vault.

Thanks, will try that. Prefer to have the video even though they're just sitting there, but if you can't hear anything on it, the video doesn't matter.

I would love a UR-Notre Dame match up, though I might like UR vs Syr and VCU vs ND more... Would be great to root for my alma maters that day.
