Update on Gilyard

Despite his injury, he ranks 2nd in the country in steels per game and if he get's 4 steals tomorrow will rank in U of R's top 10 all time steal leader half way through his sophomore year.

Over the past 4 games he leads the A10 in scoring and assists per game. He was also 18-37 for 3 points.

Some you you complain he does not come out of the game. That is not true, he only played 159 minutes over the 4 games.

Yup, he did come out for a whole minute. It actually could have been less since they round off to the closest minute. I bet is was a very relaxing time for him.

Yes. And his career 3pt% was 39.2% where Jacob to date is 37.8%.

But he’s going to be in that same range I think.

I think Gilyard and KO are different type of players, both great smaller guards with big hearts.

Lebron will probably be out 6 weeks with the strained groin, what did Gilly miss one game? Will be interesting dynamic bringing in the transfer next year after Andre and Woj becoming established. We know Gilly will play 36 to 40 per game.

If Gilyard get's 2 steals against Duquesne he moves into 9th place all-time with Terry Allen. He currently ranks 3rd in the nation.

I had to cheat and go to the media guide. also surprising is John Davis at #4 in only 113 games.
Jacob will end up #1.

I am not surprised at John Davis, he played post defense like he was a DB.He would be off to the side of his man enticing the pass, then with an incredible first lateral step would be in front of his man when the ball arrived.

Kass Weaver had the same quick first lateral step on offense, on the perimeter with the ball.
