And here's the bummer, it should have been immediately after last season. A new permanent coach after last season could have at least had opportunity to start building a roster. Now that won't happen until next year in the spring at least.

Normally I would say there’s no chance we do a mid season firing. If CM goes something like 3-10 OOC then I think it would be justified. Still, think it’s unlikely even if we have a really poor season.

As to this season, alea iacta est.
Coach Mooney is a good, decent person and if we are going to relieve him of his duties as head coach, his dismissal should be handled with class. The same goes for Shafer.
I would not have felt the same about Wainwright, but Mooney and Shafer present totally different situations.

The "class" part was letting him stay on the last 3-4 years while he continued to collect millions of dollars.
That ship has sailed.....
