The Trump Administration

Goofy was running it the last 4 years. Get used it, you've got a few more years to go.
"Goofy" left Trump the best economy in the world, and Trump is destroying it. Who's the real Goofy? And I'll never get used to seeing Trump and Musk destroying the country while serving Putin. If you can and support it, good for you.

More Musk related news.

Got a brilliant man volunteering to help rescue the country from financial ruin. Deserves better treatment than he is getting.
Entitled to your opinion, but this in my opinion is just an incredibly ignorant thing to think. You really believe Musk, who spends most of his day on X amplifying lies and misinformation in a passive aggressive way, is really just involving himself in government out of the kindness of his heart? He has no ulterior motives at all? Couldn’t have anything to do with an attempted power grab and wanting to protect his businesses from any potential government interference?

Yeah, I believe he is a good guy. Nothing in his background to indicate otherwise. Richest man in the World. Can't be bought or sold.

Regulation needs to be cut for everyone. Expect he would benefit as well. So what? We all come out ahead when the mountain of red tape required to do even basic tasks is reduced.

The article reads like a fairytale and is pure speculation.

Ok. Now let’s imagine for a moment that Musk is a dyed in the wool Democrat but everything else is the same. Still totally cool with it?

Knowledge has value, and he has been given uncontrolled, unsupervised access to the largest collection(s) of information in the world. He will monetize that information, how do you think he got to be one of the richest in the world.

the Dems never want to cut anything so a superfluous question.
Well, the Repubs never cut anything but taxes unless the spending cuts pay for tax cuts. There is nothing laudatory about that.

If I felt this was an honest effort to reduce the deficit, I'd feel better about it all. So far, there are more headlines - many inaccurate - than true savings. If the effort was real, Social Security, Medicare and defense would be up for discussion along with the already-in-the-bullseye Medicaid. In reality, the current Republican effort is doing nothing to reduce the deficit as the current bill directs that "only" 4.5 trillion be added over 10 years. Rather, it is effectively swapping cost savings and headlines for tax cuts in another iteration of supply side economics. With the ever widening wealth gap, maybe the top finally will have enough money to start the promised trickle down.

Now all that said, Musk is massively conflicted in this endeavor.

You didn’t ask that right.

Who would be cool with Hunter Biden being “given uncontrolled, unsupervised access to the largest collection(s) of information in the world.”

Trump's billionaire Commerce Secretary says that seniors won't care if they don't get their Social Security checks — and that anyone who does complain is a fraudster.

Sure, everyone could go a month without their money, easy, no problem. Eating and shelter are overrated.

Apparently, the best place to hide war plans is in plain sight. This has just come in over the wire:

"My administration is expert in top-secret. Frankly, no one does top-secret better than we do," said Trump. "We know that The Atlantic, which used to be great but now is so terrible, has zero readers, and no one will see my war plans."

"It's the most secure place to hide these plans in the world, maybe in history."

The magazine's editor assured the nation there was nothing to worry about. "Trump's secret is safe with us," he said, "just like all our articles, news, and advertisements."

Do you mean send in the military?
No, he should have offered each Greenlander $25,000 and he should have offered to pay the Denmark for their share. Everyone would have been on board. It would be another Seward's folly, but it would work.

What a joke this statement is, ask our allies if Biden alienated them. Biden strengthened NATO and got the US back on board with our allies after Trump's first term.
I will direct you to the thread on the Biden Doctrine. His withdrawal from Afghanistan was a stain on the integrity of this country. It hurt our global prestige immensely. He made that decision without talking to our allies. He further undercut all of our other allies, including Israel, Japan and South Korea. He coddled Iran.

Now Co-President Musk is heavily involved in an election in Wisconsin for a Supreme Court Judge. He just happens to have a case in Wisconsin that will more than likely be decided by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He gave away 2 million dollars in an effort to buy votes. This is an excerpt from Heather Cox Richardson about this election:

"While it is supposed to be a nonpartisan election, President Trump has thrown his weight behind candidate Brad Schimel. Billionaire Elon Musk has thrown his checkbook, putting almost $20 million behind Schimel. On Sunday Musk traveled to Wisconsin, where he said the election could determine “the future of America and Western Civilization,” warning that a court with Crawford on it would redraw the gerrymandered districts and “add seats for Democrats.”

On Sunday, Musk gave away two checks for $1 million each to individuals who attended his rally for Schimel and signed a petition against “activist judges”. Musk got around the Wisconsin law against exchanging an item of value to get someone to vote or not to vote by claiming the checks were for “spokesperson agreements.” But the video recorded by one of the recipients linked her vote to Musk’s check, saying, “I did exactly what Elon Musk told everyone to do: sign the petition, refer friends and family, vote, and now I have a million dollars.”

The other check for a million dollars went to the chair of the Wisconsin College Republicans, who has worked for Republican campaigns.

“Let me talk for a minute or two about my opponent, Elon Musk,” Crawford told supporters on Monday. She announced her candidacy for the race before Trump was elected, and according to Scott Bauer of the Associated Press, she said she never imagined she would be fighting against “the richest man in the world.”

Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler said he thought “people do not want to see Elon Musk buying election after election after election. If it works here, he’s going to do it all over the country.”"

Yep, anyone who thinks Musk cares about this country and is donating his time to making this country better is fooling himself.

Soros has made substantial contributions to the other candidate.

aren't there questions about Schimel taking donations and not pursting cases as AG?
