Thank God it's over

Ok I will never post on this board again if CM leads this group to the NCAA's next year but when nothing at all changes strategy wise and we start the season slow and we lose to at least 5 teams we should nEver lose to and we are mediocre at home even w the place packed w 4th graders and we lose 15 point second half leads because CM chokes... will you agree to say that its time for a coaching change because CM just isnt a D1 capable coach? Hmmmmm
Ohmygodreally?????? I'm definitely holding you to that.

Btw since you tried to give me the ultimate disrespect by saying Im a bad father, I will tell you I have put 4 kids through college and I would say that UR is only the third best out of the four.

He did not say you were a terrible father. He said he was glad you're not his father. Big difference.

Congrats on getting four kids through college, and thanks for the backhanded compliment about UR.

Of course you are glad Im not your father, I dont give participation trophies and I would not cry to your coaches begging they play you because all you did was ride the pine in any sport you attempted to play. Arent you one of the goody two shoes who goes nuts when there is a "personal attack" on a poster? Now u are fair game. Btw, Mooney still sucks, our starting 5 arent the next coming of the Dream Team, and Im not impressed that the team didn't quit. I know...Im a terrible father. Let the personal attacks begin.

John Beilein rescued a team full of untapped senior talent and took it immediately to the second round of the NCAAs. I will always wonder what he might have done with that group had he coached it for two or three years instead of just one.

I don't want to wonder in two years what this current group of players might have actually been capable of. They deserve the chance to show everyone. I fear continuing the status quo will only continue the status quo.

This team should be expected to make the NCAA tournament next year. Anything less than that is a failure, plain and simple. I personally do not have faith that Mooney is the guy to lead it there, however, and that is why I would make the change now.

^This.

Another perfect post for me! Like I posted previously, if no bid next season, than loyal, local Buck and Nick deserve a chance to play for another coach their final season.

I've had this conversation with a few on this board, but I'm buying the future if we can keep the squad intact.

Don’t love the sound of this. 05 our most in the know poster sounds an alarm about keeping us intact. Rumors are out there, but I am more worried after seeing this than I was before. Nothing on 05, just shows to me that there may be some fire behind that smoke we see.

some hate Mooney, some love Mooney -- most are neither, realize highly unlikely to see a change this off season
I know this has been discussed before and there's no real data either way; but most (and I mean by a lot) of spider fans who don't post here are truly glad the season is over. Admittedly hope springs eternal and they will be back next season but another start like this one and that might be the end.

Yes, time for change is now. It's BS that Hardt is still evaluating. If he hasn't seen enough this year I'm sure he can get his hands on some tape. Get a coach and if he can just bring in a couple more guys, one 6'8 or taller that can play we would be in business. Waiting, waiting is not the way.

can we sticky this?
for my part, I'll agree it's time for a change if the team CM's put together isn't a very strong team. the starting 5 isn't perfect. there's a lot for each to work on. but they've improved as the year went on and the pieces are there.

S-man are you sure you are not on staff or Mooney himself because this is something that would come out of his mouth?

Mooney, our team is going to be "very, very good". S-man, it's time for a change if CM can't put together a "very strong team".

The problem with both of these statements is they are unmeasureable and completely subjective.

Shoot in Mooney's article, he was talking about how proud he was of the team, how much we've grown, and how much better we've gotten. You would have thought after reading that, we had won the A-10, but nope, we won 12 games.
