He'll regret it for a LONG timeToo late for that bud.
+1I think he's a great young man and a terrific basketball player but being a leader just isn't part of him, unfortunately.
AgreeI watch Coach Calipari get the very early two technical fouls. This was motivation . I think he is acar seller but he motivates the players. Coach one on one with Allen please . Sit talk about everything. Talk about senior year . about future about pasy about what is now. Say lets go out stiong lets all do this together lets do the great thing .. we cant change the early season but we sure as hell can change the next two weeks... there has to be a theme during practice repeating and repeating every second so the plahyer can feel it can breathe it . Pound and pound and pound. We will not be denied. We wkil not be denied. hyell when loose ball Who wants it who WANTS IT!!

I do feel like the program let Terry Allen down, he is the reason I'll show up for senior day. Oh I include JM in my reasons to go.
Based on the last 4 years, NOPEI think the future of this season is the answer CAN COACH MAKE THE MOTIVATION FOR TERRY ALLEN?? i think this is very big big question
Do you think he has given up on Mooney? But I also wonder why he's disappeared in the 2nd half of this season. For whatever reason, he's not playing up to his capabilities right now.
good stuff Rick - up the hill, over the hill, through the hill!Fire Mooney, hire Coachfezz.
Bet we can get him for less than a million dollars, right, Fezz? Just reading this post (which is one of the best I've read in a long time) makes me want to go out and run through a brick wall.

Jay DeMayo told me that when the players first started their own workouts back in June, Terry assumed more of a leadership role. He said it was impressive.
My opinion is that he has been double-and-triple-teamed this year, our coaching staff has stuck with things that don't work TOO LONG, and the young man has simply worn out. His stats are really good for someone who has gotten such heightened attention from our opponents. He will still go down in Spiders history as one of the best - and as one of the classiest.
Get off his case, folks - this is a coaching staff issue. Terry - it has been a pleasure...
No doubt Cline is and should be the leader. He is always aware and has the most heart by far. He will take over next year. The deal is the Cline has taken over the leadership position...TA never had it and someone had to. He needs to step up and demand stuff
I'm just not understanding some of you posters. We get on players game to game and trade off kudos. As far as the leader on team I laugh at these posts out of frustration not of basketball iq. Just fans having a loosing team opinions. I guess the leader is whomever has the most points in the last game is the leader. I see something different. But as a former collegiate player I'd be frustrated if I was playing and or leading this team. First with the coaches trying to turn everyone into system players. Next with players who can not score or shoot the team with being horrid at free throws. Fans and students for not being in the seats at home games.
So as a leader do you just take it upon yourself to shoot all the balls (k0) do you pass to streaky or non shooters that's wide open in a PO offense that's never won a championship. All the system does on THIS team is get open shots to people with 8 ppg and under averages.
We should be running pick and roll getting TJ shots. Sdj keeping ball in his hands not waiting so late to take over. hate that so many handle the ball with slum chances to make good plays ir score and just letting TA play his freelance game feed him in isolation. That's what we did in earlier part season thus we have big 3 with 15 ppg plus. MW spot up be ready to shoot hell he don't put ball on the floor anyways. TD get in where you fit in. Roam and slash crash the boards if he gets a offensive rebound the you deserve to shot your rebound if not pass it out. Then you will get 2 stats rebound /points. DT last few games off the bench played better but him and TD have same motto crash rebound then you can shoot. KF is athletic but has no court vision but he will get better. Let him play and teach him along the way.
I guess all these actual coaching adjustmebts teaching and motivation falls on the ultimate leader the boss....coaching. But we all know how stubborn the LEADER is.
Our defense is bad enough, but when we do play good D and cause a rushed or bad shot, we give up the Offensive rebound and the easy stick back. Rips the heart out of the team and the crowd. The one thing we don't need to do is change anything we are doing on offense. Do you have any suggestions for defense?
I watched UVA and Miami last night and saw 2 hungry teams going at it. Lots of passion on the floor from a number of players. Last time, I saw a demonstrative display of passion from our team was from Kendall Anthony, last year.
+1Don't know what you guys will be doing on Tuesday - but I will be part of the standing ovation for Terry Allen during the pregame. Great kid, great player. Let's show him some love.
