Spiders vs. Elon In-game Thread

why are we going deep on 3 and short so much? seems to me get the 1st and work the clock is a better plan.

Coach has said he prefers for the O to get into a rhythm. They seem to be throwing it deep a lot. Lauletta is focusing on Brown too much.

Lauletta taking too long to make decisions. Not using TE. Looking for Brown on every play

Can we please throw to someone other than the guy being triple teamed? I can't say I'm all that impressed with the new OC. Play calling since the Virginia game has been very vanilla, very predictable. How many years has it been since we tried any kind of trick play to keep the defense guessing?

Lack of TE and lack of short passes over the middle kill some drives. Too many deep shots and agree too much focus on Brown. Pretty strong run game though

Agreed, very predictable. 17,82 and 11 are very good receivers. USE THEM!!!

Great win by the spiders! Started off slow, but the offense picked up and dominated the 2nd half.

3 games left and we're definitely in a good position with wins over: UVA, #23 Colgate, #17 Albany, and #13 Villanova. And our loss at a now ranked Stony Brook is looking less bad with each passing week.

I think if we manage to win out we'll be a top 4 seed. We win 2, we might be a top 8 seed (especially if one of those wins is against JMU). We win 1, I think we're still in the playoffs but not seeded.

We have the bye week next and then the FCS game of the year potentially against JMU! If only Gameday could come to our campus...

Our fan base and stadium are too small for GameDay to show interest.

Plus when the tv cameras scan the crowd, it would show about 50 to 75 old people!

Good job not looking ahead by the Spiders. Took care of business, now we can rest up and get ready for JMU.

Think someone mentioned on Tuesday-

"Given our lack of depth at RB,we need to figure out a way to get Jay Palmer and James Pavik some touches on Saturday."

Both looked like they can handle the load along with Broadus and Thompson.

I thought it was great that pavik scored a TD.
