Their shows possession. It's just like my, his, her, and our.
There is a place. It's similar to here.

There actually is quite dissimilar to here, since here is here and there is there. If you are here, you cannot be there. If you are there, you cannot be here. Therefore and heretofore, there was a player here named Fore. However, no more, as he has left here to go there, wherever there may be.
