The season opener is still 3½ months away, but San Diego State’s basketball team suffered a huge loss in July.

Fourth-year junior Matt Shrigley tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee playing basketball at a local fitness center, had reconstructive surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss most or all of the season, family and school officials confirmed. Check link below:

That's ok...we'll just take out WVU and Cal.

(Tough break for the kid...ACL so difficult to fully recover from.)
