Satchmo Update Needed on the PL

Given the doldrums of summer, maybe it's a good time for Satchmo to post some very early musings about the Patriot League.
Our new friends in the Patriot League would benefit by hearing from the "Sage of the Stadium".
One must admit, there is plenty to talk about, given W&M's and Villanova's ascension to the Patriot League.

One must admit, there is plenty to talk about, given W&M's and Villanova's ascension to the Patriot League.

Gallipoli, your expectations are much too demanding! This is the time of the season that this old fella needs to slow down and recharge the batteries.

Once I’m good and rested, I am really looking forward to the first Patriot League season. I’ve got a lot to learn about our opponents and plan to include some interesting things about our new opponents. That should really jazz up the always dull and seemingly unending Opponents Countdown in late July and August.

Then it’s on to what should a very entertaining regular season with everyone from Bill Belechick to Georgetown.

I’m don’t expect many of these sophisticated Patriot League fans are going pay much attention to Satchmo. Heck not many Richmond fans do. It’s just a fun hobby.

BTW, you do a pretty good job yourself at keeping an eye on things, particularly the Indians!

Random fact I learned this week listening to a sports talk show. Satchmo was a nickname given to Louis Armstrong which was a shortened version of satchel mouth.
