seriously. did we think anything differently. Golden. the greatest big in UR history in his 5th/6th year gets owned. sherod should never see the court again. I think if we dont play the young and for get that class we will suck for many years.
It's going to be interesting to see how many of the young guys stick around after this year.seriously. did we think anything differently. We aren't going to win the next game. So nice wishful thinking. What is troubling is our defense is not looking good through 2 games. With such an experienced roster - it should be better. We all know Golden is not very good on defense, but Utah State just owned him in the 2nd half. Sure - he scored 24, but Horvath and Bean for Utah got 48. Sherod is a step slow, as expected, but I only see his minutes increasing as the season progresses as Mooney will always favor experience over the younger guys. Maybe when Goose returns he will help - but given he is coming off a groin injury, I imagine he might be a step slow as well. Cayo was non-existent. Someone needs to show him the Kentucky tape from last year when he played like a man. He needs to get back to that.
Surprisingly - Mooney played 3 guys 14 minutes or more off the bench in Grace, Crabtree, and Wilson - but given we have tougher games coming up - you might see Burton and Golden minutes extended and if Cayo is going well - same there.
