What a shame. We were so close. Obviously Clawson saw how bad our defense and special teams have been for the last 5 years.

This is sure out of left field! I'm a little disappointed that somebody here didn't start the rumors...hah.
Have a good feeling Coach Huesman made a major breakthrough winning the last 4 CAA football games in 2021 and brought in a new, young OC, Billy Cosh, with an experienced QB. Our defense was outstanding this year and is RH's strong suit...2022 season will tell!

don't agree. Clawson's going to a power 5 sooner than later. would he take Russ? besides, Russ has a lifetime job at UR. Mediocrity is rewarded with contract raises and extensions. just ask Mooney!!!
There was more than a 50/50 chance that Russ would have been on the unemployment line had Mancuso et al not won the last 4 games of 2021.

Macuso was the biggest QB enigma I have seen at UR in my time. I wonder how he would of turned out had the staff recruited him remained on or had he transferred to a program with a competent OC.
I don't know, he just signed a huge extension at Wake and seems pretty happy there. He's already in a P5 job, and even if he did leave four a better one and left Russ behind, it would have meant the team had done very well and I bet all its coaches would have ample opportunities elsewhere.

With JMU gone and most probably a loss,we’ll play at least one northern team which we didn’t play last season,in its place next season-Albany,URI,Maine.
Beats the crap out of a 17 year warmup period.
Just need some more playoff expansion. If FCS playoffs can be 32 teams and mens basketball can have 128 teams…we’ll be playoff bound!!!
No reason. It just seems sad to me that a fan, and he his a fan, never seems to find any joy
