Think I tracked down who this kid is, but not seeing much of anything on recruiting. PG at Heritage HS in Leesburg, where his dad is the coach.

I am totally guessing here, but would guess we are talking to him as a "recruited' or "preferred" walk on type of guy. We "offered him a spot on team, but perhaps did not offer him a scholie etc.

could be wrong, but I don't think you do the "preferred walk-on" thing this early. he's a 2017. either you offer, or you wait to see if you want to offer.
