I know you haven't seen me here before as I am a Virginia Tech fan but I just wanted to make you aware of a prospect that I think the Spiders should offer. Maxx Philpott is a 6'0 300 pound DT from Glenvar high school (Three miles down the road from Salem HS where Avery Close is from). Maxx benches close to 400 pounds, squats 600 and has elite quickness and technique for a player his size. He won a state championship in wrestling his sophomore year... his first year ever wrestling. He has a 4.0 GPA and is as coachable of a players as you will find. He is a little bit of a late bloomer when it comes to recruiting but was recently offered from Elon and Davidson.
Please take a look at his highlights and let me know if you think he would be a good fit for Richmond's defensive style. He has over 60 tackles for loss the last two seasons despite getting double, triple and quadruple teamed often.
