So was at the bank today and on the work table was a display for western union. Why at a bank? Can't help it curiosity is a bad bug. At another bank a teller was speaking Spanish to a customer who was cashing a number of personal checks- guessing he provided residential labor services. Waiting in any line is just painful and causes my mind to wander. So what do immigrants, legal and otherwise have in common with large US corporations? The both send a large amount of money they earn in the USA overseas. As Chesterfield County is struggling coming to terms with a budget, the large portion concerns schools, just wondering the effect on the local economy of educating children of immigrants, legal and illegal, who are sending dollars overseas? Just a guesstimate, $120 billion/50 states/ about 90 Va localities is a lot of dollars.
