Great to see we are finally early for the party with this kid.Finally for someone.Usually we're not.Hopefully,we'll follow through on our early offers and be aggressive.
Appearance is that we have been LAZY and follow other schools' leads with their offers and have done simply copy cat offers.Maybe this mentality will change.It has shown to be a lack of recruiting leadership.There has been no strategy,to date,in being last to the party.

Superfriendz...nice. My son's team played a team named "TeamNotEvenFamous" this weekend. The way that team played, they have little to worry about with becoming too famous any time soon.
Who's perception is we follow other school's leads? Yours? We are the first or second offer for about a third of the recruits we offer which means our staff is making a concerted effort to offer a lot of players very early.
32 there's plenty to be critical of Mooney and company for recently, but this isn't part of it. Are you saying we weren't early enough on Sherod, Buckingham, Schneider and Godwin? For that matter we were plenty early on Wesson too.
I'm as critical as they come to our recruiting missteps, but our mistakes are not for lack of identifying kids early. We have ample evidence that we are on kids well before other bigger name schools are on them. Now, we need to do a better job of weathering the storm when a kid gets a big offer to stay with us.
Hard to do bud, young guy always wants the best looking girl he can get. It's not until later he finds out that she is doing the same thing.
No matter how good she looks, some other guy is tired of putting up with her ....,, OSC
