Quinn coming back

Is the rest of the team with remaining eligibility now going to announce they are returning as well?
If you mean Burton, Crabtree & Bigelow (the 3 other Seniors with eligibility) then ...yes...

Are we supposed to do this with our whole roster every year? Is this the brave, new world of college basketball?

Jon Rothstein is going to get some arthritis in his twitter fingers.
No. Just for guys who have played 4 years and want to use their covid year. Not everyone uses it. Some are ready to move on.

I am okay with one stop players - but they better be key pieces of NCAA teams or coming to UR to be all-league players in that 1 year.

Why would we want Crabtree back? That's just taking up a scholarship to be used on someone else who could contribute.

I saw an interesting article the other day and I can't remember the coach but it was an interesting idea. Basically he suggested to cut down on portal entries, allow coaches and players to sign multi-year scholarship deals - basically like contracts. So if you like a player - you can offer them a 3 year scholarship. Which means they are committed for 3 years. If they break that contract and transfer before then - they must abide by old rule - sit out a year when transferring. Or - Coach can release them and they are allowed to go free like everyone else. But this could potentially keep some guys out. I wouldn't expect many 4 year deals/offers at the high level, but maybe 2-3 year deals. Would be interesting.
