Post season discussion

Would say the odds are heavily in our favor. Have a win over # 6, took #1 to the wire, and finished 8-4. Hard to see how we miss this year. See you next Saturday!

I know it was a different time, but the ghost of 2012 still haunts me...

Relax guys, we are in like our man Flint. We have a great pedigree and case.

FWIW, AGS has us in, and hosting a game. Before dismissing it as some random internet guy, the reasoning centers more around that fact that there simply aren't enough teams that meet the qualification guidelines, AND also have a better resume than us. So it's more a matter of not having enough teams. To which I say: I have no problem with that.

AGS bracket predictions.

Really don't see how we would be excluded at this point. Youngstown lost and is clearly behind us now. Liberty winning took a bid, but there were at least three remaining. NC A&T lost and Morgan State got the MEAC autobid, but I dont think that conference gets two teams.

Hope we get a home game!

FCS PLAYOFF PROJECTION
------------------------------------------
In the FCS Huddle writer Craig Haley Sports Network projects the FCS playoff field:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stephen F. Austin-Montana State winner at No. 1 seed North Dakota State

Fordham-Liberty winner at No. 8 seed Coastal Carolina

Indiana State-Eastern Kentucky winner at No. 5 seed Villanova

Southeastern Louisiana-South Dakota State winner at No. 4 seed Illinois State

Richmond-Sam Houston State winner at No. 3 seed Jacksonville State

San Diego-Montana winner at No. 6 seed Eastern Washington

Sacred Heart-Northern Iowa winner at No. 7 seed Chattanooga

Morgan State-James Madison winner at No. 2 seed New Hampshire

fire up the jets...rumor on the field after the game....we go to sam Houston state

although you guys make a great case why we will be in the playoffs, personally must wait until i see our name appear before assuming anything. after that last fiasco a couple of years ago, don't trust anyone who has anything to do with this process. you guys go ahead and celebrate early, that is OK, am very happy with eight wins, a winning season and beating the indians and then if we do get in, will be even happier and excited and if at sam houston state, will be giddy......up

It appears 2 of these would need to get in before us for us to be left out:

8-3
Bucknell
Bethune Cookman
NC A&T

7-3
Bryant

7-5
Indiana St
Youngstown St
Willam & Mary
Cal Poly

I just don't see it. One of these may be in not 2. Two most likely are Bethune with FBS win, and Indiana St with 3 good FCS wins.

Surprised if they separate Fordham and Sacred Heart. Unless they can make more at another host than the two plane trips cost...

agree with spinner. I'm hopeful but I think its far from lock. we're deserving and maybe the committee owes us 1 from a couple years ago. but lot of politics can come into play. You only need to have a couple teams IN before we are out. For instance the NC A&T AD is on committee. I can certainly see him pushing for a 2nd MEAC team, mainly his own. Maybe it will be easy for them to say CAA got 2 at large we can get away with not giving a 3rd.

I believe I was the one with the SH State rumour and I have no idea what I'm talking about.

We beat the Indians. Anything more is gravy.

With the expanded field I don't see any way Richmond doesn't get in.

As to bids, they were turned in a few weeks ago.

Must admit that I'm as much looking forward to seeing who outbid JMU as I am to seeing if we made it.

as one of our esteemed posters always asks, think the Killer, is this a mortal lock or just a lock?

We are #18 in the Final TSN poll with 3 wins over ranked teams. I bet the list of teams with 3 wins over ranked teams is pretty short.

Seeds:
UNH#1, ND State, Jax State, EWash#4, Ill State #5, NOVA, Coastal #7, Chatty #8,

Indiana State is in. . SFA is in. We could be out
