Over because A 10 is not that impressive and UR has more than enough player talent to win more than 10 easily

Does that include A10 tourney?

If not, then ill go with Under. Might get 1 win in DC. Assuming loss tonight that's 1-6.

Would need to go at min 9-15 the rest of the way.

Even teams that are not that good usually win most of their home games. So far, not happening this year. Even though the A-10 is exceptionally weak I expect wins on the road will still be tough to come by. Though I would not have thought it pre-season, I say under 10 but close.

Over, but the fact that this is now our metric for the season when all we heard on this board (and by everyone on this board, myself included) was how disrespected our team was for being picked 8th in the league, outside the Top 144, and so lowly by many other pundits is quite a statement. Right now, it looks like those rankings were actually quite bullish on our team.

With Khwan back now and the A-10 being very weak, I could see this team winning between 11-13 games this year.

The most depressing part is the A10s performance so far out of conference. At some point in time I see the possibility of basketball going the same way as football....A and AA, somewhat likely. Of course we'd be in the AA division.

I agree 10 wins should be doable, hopefully. I've said all along the team will be better by February, I just didn't expect it to be so bad now, better should be easy to obtain.

We should have had enough player talent to at least stay close to Delaware and Jacksonville St. - That didn't happen.

It will be close. Only way we get over is if this team catches a nice little win streak at some point where we win 3-4 games in a row. Possibly in the A10 when the team has come together a little better.

Being pedantic, we actually don't need a win streak to win 10 or more games. There are 24 games left in the regular season, if we win every other game (no win streaks) we will have won 13 games.

I would say most likely is 11. My prediction is 13. Before DC...

Over and over on Ulla too.

We should continue to get better as the season progresses and player roles are more clearly defined.

And, Jacob, who I believe is our best outside shooter (and foul shooter) has barely gotten un-tracked. Once Jacob starts scoring 15+ per game, and starts moving up into 35% range on his 3-point shots, and starts handing out assists like he is capable of doing, we should go 60%+ in conference, and may pick up a few OOC wins too. I want to see Jacob with the ball in his hands as we protect a lead, because he can be deadly from the foul line.

I still see us as having the capabilities to go .500+ for the season, and keep up our record of Non-losing seasons....

What none of us knew was how bad the bench would be. Paul and Solly are done. JJ has done absolutely nothing but foul. Love the starting five tonight. All scored in double figures and bench gave us 2 points with 2 seconds left. The five youngsters can't do it alone. 9.5 over under is close. After losing to another mediocre team tonight, I would have to bet the under. Sucks to say that. I will be there though.

There was only one kid on Vermont I would have started over any of our starting 5. I would have replaced NS with #13. They were certainly better coached, but we have dealt with that for 13 years.

Vermont doesn't have a #13 on their roster. #2 their PG could start over Jacob right now. He is a senior that has been averaging about 12 pts and 5 assists the past three seasons. He got banged up early last night and didn't look the same afterwards. KG will probably have a better career but he should not be starting as a freshman. #3 Lamb had a quiet night but was the conf rookie of the year last year and could start at PF for us. And #20 could possibly start over Nick right now. Nick probably has more talent but he's not showing it at the moment.

The biggest difference between the two teams is depth. UVMs bench contributed 43 minutes, 11 points, 8 reb and 5 assists. Our bench contributed 26 minutes, 2 points, 3 reb and 1 assist.

On the flip side, you could say that our starters outplayed their starters. It would have been nice to get something from our bench, but our starting 5 played well enough to win by themselves. Though I do think Nick and Khwan missing those FTs at the end were due in part to exhaustion.

Our only hope of going over 9.5 is an exceptionally weak A10 this season, and that has yet to be seen. We are a very weak team right now, despite all the talk about how we are getting better. The reality is the opposition is probably getting better, too.

Almost every team gets better as the season progresses. Which seems to be our metric now for our program. Not actually winning, just getting better. Yes, we have gotten better but only because it would have been exceedingly difficult to play worse than we did in 3 of our 4 first games.

Maybe a better metric for our program may be over/under on how many games we "competed" in? That seems to be the measuring stick for our coach.

Excellent points

Too many if's for us to win 10 or more games. We might be the worst team in the A10 right now.

And the lack of bench contributions will be a huge problem if it continues. The starters need to be spelled periodically, and hope none of the starters gets hurt during a long season.
