I recall having some conversations with a couple of the old timers on this board about Husky - not sure if those board guys are around anymore either.
He had a little dynasty going at Martinsville. I remember my h.s. was hosting the regional finals one year, and Hall and Martinsville were coming in with a loaded team including future UVA QB Shawn Moore. Gym sold out hours before the game, it was like the Chicago Bulls coming to town. The other memory that sticks in my mind was I was a freshman in h.s. and Martinsville was playing a Kevin Madden (UNC future player) led R.E. Lee team. My brother and friends were driving to Charlottesville (maybe) but parents would not let me go with the older guys.
Just thought I would post as I remembered that era and Martinsville was churning out players (I think Lefty got a couple) and was a hoops machine before all of the prep schools.
