Well guys, this was a giant step. We should actually be celebrating. We all know Mooney must go, and now any doubts about that fact are gone.

I was not like myself at all yesterday. I normally get hoarse and my hands are rubbed raw and sometimes bleeding, but yesterday I did not cheer or clap once the entire game. I actually found myself getting very nervous when we started our temporary rally at the end of the first half - the same exact feeling I normally get at the end of a nail biter where I'm on the floor with the Spiders clawing for a victory - but this time it was reversed. I was literally scared we would win. I was silently relieved when Hampton would score. That's where we have fallen. It is clearly in our best interest to continue losing until the athletic director wakes up and realizes a change is no longer a question; it is a MUST. Hopefully, this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Right there with you. It's a terrible place to be, but here we are. It's important that these excuses about missing two starters do not cloud our reality. We were getting trampled yesterday WITH Sherod in there, and with Gilyard we already lost to Wyoming and Longwood. Mooney's camp is always full of excuses.

But it also shows how he has no depth with this team because of the poor recruiting and attrition.

Two personal indicators that we have derailed:

1. I leave with six minutes to go in the game because I have no hope we can come back...against Hampton. But I got to catch the finale of Dancing with the Stars: Junior Edition.
2. I don't have much feeling whatsoever about another home loss to a sub-200 team, and in fact may be relieved if it moves us closer to making a change.

5000th post. What a bummer that this is my hot take.

Completely agree. Was at the game, it was a sad and pathetic environment. Team had no energy and neither did anyone in the building. Players were literally sleepwalking most of the game. As you said, it is clearly in the best interest of the long term health of our program that we lose and lose frequently this year.

I feel bad for the kids, they didn't sign up for this, but it is what it is at this point.

I called the number listed for Hardt on the athletic website this morning to voice my displeasure with Mooney. His assistant picked up and told me that there has been a lot of people calling and emailing in (athleticdirector@richmond.edu). I asked "how many" and she responded saying it was enough that it was noticeable. We need to keep up the effort folks. This will take a team effort.

Well done 17. Thanks for the update. We got a petition, we got folks calling/e-mailing the AD, we got folks calling local sports radio and I'm sure this is all getting noticed.

I can see UR going winless the remainder of the 2018-2019 seadon.
