yep, like that georgetown game either at home or up in DC. we have a lot of student athletes from that area and easy to get to. like that game
It appeard he was harrassing the players and/or cheer leading. That Hampton game was the first time I ever saw a member of the chain gang removed mid-game. Not sure what that was all about but it was very strange.
Like UVA. Now that's what I'm talking about.http://static.caasports.com/custompages/stats/FB/2008/caafb069.htm
I remember the 2008 monsoon game against Georgetown. It rained like hell that day (most i've sat through). Hoyas only had 88 yards total offense with 4 four 1st downs, and if I remember correctly their offense didn't cross the 50 until sometime late in the 3rd qtr/early 4th qtr.
Completely serious, unfortunately. I was told that he said he "was going to smoke" someone (s), and made his hand and fingers into the shape of a gun.
It was behavior like that which led the MEAC to opt out of post season play. There were probably so many complaints that they couldn't even host a playoff game. That's exactly what happened. I've heard multiple first person accounts. At that point Rocco called the AD out of the stands to get the guy out of there. All this happened between the 1st and 2nd quarter. I was listening to the game on the radio. Bob Black was going nuts. It seemed to take 15-20 minutes to start the 2nd quarter.
BTW, I heard on Black's show today that The Norfolk State game is a sellout. I hope the students show up.

Nor should the other coaches with ties to UR. Corp, Farragelli...I don't think that Latrell Scott will put up with dirty play by his team. He's not that kind of guy.

The MEAC teams play tough football, even if they don't have the athletic ability of some of our folks. Plus, they are in state schools. They probably would feel the same way about us as we do VA Tech, if we didn't play them. Why even play a MEAC team? Why not play Georgetown instead?
Yes, flat and sloppy. It's more the stupid penalties that worry me for the future.
Yes Collins came out of half on crutches and a brace. These young RB's have to learn to pick up these blitzes for Lauletta.Yes, flat and sloppy.
Collins looked serious, too.
Agree. Time to get the backups inInjuries seem to be mounting. Not good seeing Jones hobble off.
Jones is at least standing on the sideline with his helmet on.Injuries seem to be mounting. Not good seeing Jones hobble off.
Not a clue. Why is Lauletta still playing???
Spiders were a bit off on offense and affected by penalties and some lack of execution, but defense and special teams played very well. It's hard to be too critical when the team wins 34-0.
