Cowboys Release Second-Year WR Brian Brown
(April 4, 4:13 p.m.) – The Cowboys announced that they released wide receiver Brian Brown on Wednesday afternoon.
Brown signed as an undrafted free agent out of Richmond last spring, and he immediately made a strong impression during training camp. The rookie made several spectacular catches during the Cowboys’ 2018 training camp, and he finished the preseason with 10 catches for 84 yards.
The Cowboys also signed kicker/punter Brett Maher, who spent time with the club back in 2013. He spent time with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2017.
Given that the team has a 90-man roster limit during the offseason, the Cowboys did not ned to release Brown to make room for Maher, though they still opted to make the roster move as they get set to welcome their 2018 draft picks and their most recent undrafted free agents into the fold later this month.
Hope he gets a shot with another team

The Cowboys personnel guys are dumb. BB is a better receiver than half the guys they trot out there on Sunday.
Danny Amendola was not worthy of their receiving corps, either.

Advance to 7:20 for Winston tackle on Mayfield
Defensive end Joe Ostman brought down Nick Chubb in the backfield for a six-yard loss late in the third, and the following play defensive tackle Winston Craig brought down Baker Mayfield from behind as he began to scramble. Two outstanding effort plays from two reserve defensive lineman.
