New coaches and recruiting

All of the new coaches have been very active recruiters - Lacy, Satterfield, Maffei, Johnson. I believe it has upped the existing coaches enthusiasm for recruiting as well, as there has been a lot of activity from Ross, Braithwaite and Woods over the last several weeks. The four they have committed for 2020 are big gets for UR, and I expect more to come and another strong class to follow the very strong 2019 class.

A fundamental and easily overlooked change was the annointing of JOHN SROFE as the head of recruiting coordinator.Highly organized individual.Finding qualified UR recruits. We have made over 100 offers. He has excellent communicative skills among the coaches.

Also overlooked is the the effort Jeff Durden put forth on signing the Graduate Transfers. It is his baby.
The Graduate Transfer market given the ‘Transfer Portal’ isnt going away.It will require continuing concentrated effort in the future. We are recruiting not only 16-18 year old high school ballers but also 22-23 year old more seasoned sheep skinned ballers who qualify academically.

Can we get a decent “special teams” coach? We are beyond horrible.
