I feel it is a good comparison between UR and Davidson in Basketball potential and schools. Since Mooney has been here, we have been twice, Davidson seven times.
Are we satisfied with that? Why can they do it and we can’t?

Keep in mind Davidson moved from the socon to the A10 as well and I believe they have more appearances in that same time span just while they were in the Socon.

Good question. I'd like to hear Hardt's answer to that. Davidson has also made it to the A10 tournament semifinals every year since they joined the league. We have made it once in the last 10 years.

I went and saw Davidson play at URI this last weekend. Not much athleticism on Davidson. URI really was able to defend them and overwhelm them at times. Was thinking, this does not look like first place talent. Think McKillop and Mooney are kind of the opposites as far as winning with talent, McKillop does more with less and Moon does less with more. I do realize we won at URI, but the body of work this year is stark.

I agree witht the comparison with Davidson since we are both small private schools. But we have better facilities and more resources. We should be better! But they have the better athletic department and a far superior coach who is great at getting the most out of his players talent. McKillop can flat out coach and that's why they win and perform better in the A10 tourney than UR does. They value winning, not competing.
