Cayo became just the second Atlantic 10 player to go 10-10 or better from the field in a game in the last 10 years, joining Dayton's Obi Toppin against Western Michigan on December 19, 2018 (11-11).

It was a very impressive offensive performance. It would have to rank in the top of all UR offensive efforts of all time.

Cayo just continues to impress and plays better year after year. Huge jump last year. And following that up by being better again this year. Struggled to get his shot off in the first half and just turned it up a notch in the second, just dominating and taking his time backing down guys in the post. Love his game and confidence.

Nathan Cayo shooting 77.3% from 2. But only 91st in the NCAA?

Only 2 of the top 100 in 2FG% have taken over 20 attempts, Cayo and leading NPOY contender Luka Garza. Some in the top 100 are only 3 for 3... If Cayo keeps this up he will be in the top 5 by the end of the season, but it will be really tough to continue to shoot at this pace.

Outstanding! He just keeps getting better and has turned himself into a great player.

It is fitting that Cayo scored the first points of the season. He has really improved his game. He should have a lot of confidence to face what lies ahead.

Last year I was bragging to all my friends how Cayo went from being an 50% free throw shooter two years ago to 80% last year. This year so far 5-15. Really??? This kid needs a coach in his ear.

He is also 24-34 (70%) from the field.

He faced his toughest game last night. UNI was focused on stopping him and was double and triple teaming him on the baseline.

I’m sure they will watch the tape and come up with some ways for him to pass out of that kind of attention. Then teams will have to back off and he will start to get his chances around the basket again.

His quickness, ability to get to the basket off the dribble, and ability to finish around the rim has been a problem for a lot of 4 that we’ve played so far.

He just needs to stay patient and not pick up any cheap fouls out of frustration. We need him on the court.
