Felt like this needed it’s own thread. There is a pretty good documentary on Amazon prime about Marc Megna titled Just a Kid From Fall River. Obviously I never saw him play but have always heard stories about how great he was. UR football was featured quite a bit during the film and it ended up talking about what he’s doing with his life now which is pretty cool. I would recommend that all high school and college football players watch this. Who knows it could be used as a recruiting tool for UR.

I was so fearful to open this thread over fears that something bad had happened. Hard work & grit - would love for our program to get this reputation back.

That linebacking corps with Megna and Barber was something else. Art Blanchard was on the D-line for a few of those years too. That was Jim Reid defense personified.

Megna played D line actually. Besides Art Blanchard it also had a very good player in Steve Quander. Both good people too. Agree reflected Jim Reid.

The D line was also coached by Joe Cullen who had a bit of a crazy af rep. But his players, at least on defensive side, swore by him. Cullen has been a long time NFL D line coach after recovering him his off the field issues.

Including being nude while going thru a fast food drive-thru in Detroit.

We have all adjusted our attire based on where we plan to dine. Perhaps it was a Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs outlet.

Don't forgot long-time NFL guy Paris Lenon in that Front-7 too. And our Spider Club buddy Jasmonn Coleman.
