Really impressed with our upperclassmen and wanted to give a special shout out to TJ Moon. Know he has had a very hard time with injuries but has transformed himself into a very solid short yardage fullback. What I loved today was when it got chippy he came over, pulled an o-lineman away from a bad situation and got in his face. Probably saved us a 15 yard penalty but more importantly was just a smart classy move. These are the guys that help make us a special team and one that I feel proud to cheer for.

Saw this too DT. The lineman was Marius Young, a younger guy, and it was definitely a great move by a senior

Leadership on this team is clearly strong. Remember, we are a young team that graduated 23 seniors. To be this successful this year is a testament to DR's leadership as well as the upperclassmen. I also think we have a great leader in Kyle Lauletta. Kyle made some mistakes today, but made plays when we needed them.

Great post re: Moon. TJ had his injuries early on and was moved from tailback to fullback. He could've sulked about either but has accepted his role and become a real leader.

It's been fun to watch Caleb High turn into one of the leaders of this team. I remember when he was a young freshman thrust into a starting role in 2011, and now he is the senior leader of an outstanding offensive line. Caleb has worked hard to make sure he stays in top shape all season. High, Evans, and Vergos are quite the group in the middle of our line. It has been a pleasure to watch them maul people in the trenches all year. Hopefully some of our younger lineman, such as Jared Coker, are looking up to Caleb as inspiration for their own careers.
