Lauletta out for the season?

Way to early to determine that but non contact knee injuries are usually not a good sign

Kyle out of uniform, knee in brace and iced up, on crutches -- D has to stand up

FRS, sure lets crap on the other players who have worked so hard for this 8-3 season. As I have said before , you are a piece of work!!!

Guys, I'm not so sure I totally disagree. I'm not sure I'd want the seniors to get smacked by the Tribe and the beaten to a pulp in a playoff game. I just don't know how our QB situation is going to be with 1 and 2 out, neither of the subs looked like they knew where they were. My feeling is take the bid and see what we can do but if we don't get a bid it may be for the best. That targeting call is going to stick in my craw for a long time. Rubin will not play in the first half of the next game... complete BS.

Injuries are part of the game, but Spiders have really been hit hard. 8-3 in the CAA is very respectable, but one can only wonder what this season might have been without so much attrition. I feel bad for the seniors have done so much for Spider football during their time.

How quickly we forget 2012 when we won a share of the league and didn't get a playoff bid. Don't take this for granted.

We're going to host a playoff game next week, and we're going to win.

From the RTD:

"Rocco said Lauletta would undergo tests to determine the extent of the injury, “but it’s loose and the other ones that have been loose have been ACLs. ... I’ll say a prayer tonight and hope and pray, but I don’t anticipate anything positive coming back.”

Rocco goes onto say he doesn't anticipate Kyle will be available for playoffs

Tried to juke, left, right no chance. Went down, lost the ball. As someone else said, when you go down without being touched it ain't gonna be good.

Watched on dvr many times, no contact, planted foot to cut or juke and could see knee collapse to inside.

Kyle Lauletta had a solid first half (7 of 11 for 107 yards) while staking the Spiders to the 13-6 lead and surpassing 3,000 yards in the air for the season, in addition to setting a program record for completions. But the Spiders’ chances of victory and their season took a sharp turn for the worse when he injured the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee while sliding on a run late in the first half.

Spiders coach Danny Rocco said he does not expect Lauletta to return for the rest of the season. His replacements, Jake Clise and Reid Chenault, were a combined 1-of-5 passing for 11 yards, with an interception.

All the press articles said it was injured on the slide, but you can see his knee buckle when he makes the cut, then he basically goes down in pain and fumbles the ball.

We have to play and take what comes. I agree that we have a greatly diminished team going in, but that's football. Go out there and play to win.

I don't see how anyone could possibly know the extent of Kyle's injury until an MRI is taken.
Let's still hope for the best which I am thinking is that he return for our second playoff game.

At end of the game yesterday, heard his mother say to another player's mother that they didn't really know the extent of the injury. Would get test today. So all speculation is just that. Can only pray for Kyle and his family and hope he has a speedy recovery whatever the diagnosis. But Rocco and coaches have to prepare for the worst and get team prepared and in right mindset. Won't be easy, but like they're saying, "it's a new season and everyone has a record of 0-0-0." Confident that our players will leave it all on the field this coming Sat, and they deserve a great turnout and support, no matter the outcome.

Trying not to post misinformation on here or to get anyone's hopes up....but has anyone else heard it's not as bad as initially thought?
