Just Coach Fezz - Bench Press?

when does latiss dorsi muscles make better player? never, only a better wrestler

this is probllem for young men to trust a strength coach and get big lats a sad thing
i hope our strength coach is better i will know if I see lateral speed and defense drop step quicker with Mr Nick. i hope and hope because everyone trusts him to do these things.
And with players not so quick the good training shows very much and is obvious

his hands are higher because his lats don't let his arms fall to his side anymore.
adding strength is great, but that's not a basketball player's body anymore. I'll be interested to see how he shoots this year. he'll be a terror going to the rim, but he already was. the added muscle won't help the part of his game that needed help.

Stand straight up with your arms relaxed at your side. Now flex your upper back.

When I do this, the same transformation happens as in the pictures. My back looks more muscular, my hands come up, and my arms are farther away from my body.

Most of that back change is flexing, not muscle gain.

Agreed. But no amount if muscle was going to improve his shooting.

He should seriously try out at WR for the UT football team. With his speed and jumping ability, and now the muscle, he would be hard to cover. Of course he has to remember not to dribble the ball after he catches it.

or RB ... or DB.
with that body and his athletic ability ... that's a sport he could play next level at.
Considering he missed significant time 2x in his 4 years here have a hard time believing he would see much of a football field. Its not due to lack of athletic ability though.

I think Louisville basketball might have an issue with him playing football at Tennessee.
Hahahaha, that is funny. I'll admit, they did have me believing he was at Tenn.

This is what our program has become, discussing former decent players because we can't handle the truth. Or a certain segment of fans that have the word "truth" in their description can't handle the truth.

TJ also radically transformed his body before his senior year, and no one said "steroids?" That's disrespectful if it is based purely on looking at a picture of a guy with muscles. Especially one we cheered for 4 years.

KneePad, Don't let the truthers fool you, they are "nice guys" in much the way Mooney would be considered a "nice guy". Unfortunately for our players this year, they will need to do it all by themselves. As soon as something goes wrong with the plan this year, Moon will get that blank stare and stick to the script.

This is such a weird thread. Good luck to Khwan, he was a great Spider for his 4 years here. Hope his hard work pays off with a trip to the NCAA tournament.

Correct. My comment was over the line. I deleted my last post. I request that all delete references. Kwhan was a favorite player. We lost a good one.

Khwan graduated from UR, a degree that means something. Wish him nothing but the best.

05- Please lock down this thread so we can move on! We all wish Kwan the best!
Let's deal with the upcoming season!!!

The thread is fine; it’s what is written by some that is problematic.

But the word was “steroids”. Do you not see how that could be taken? Proof? A picture or two? Come on. Photographers can even make Trump look human. Well...

Of course I do. But it was something that everyone else was dancing around in
their comments on how he transformed his body.
BTW, why drag politics into this?

I just woke up from a bad dream in which starter Fore and former A10 rookie of the year Buckingham are no longer on the team. Wooo, that was a bad dream. Back to sleep now.
Not a dream; a nightmare.

I just woke up from a great dream in which a former starter who could not shoot and a former starter who let his team down by selfishly getting suspended are no longer on the team. I smiled and calmly went back to sleep when I realized it was a reality.

Hey now, Khwan was the single greatest “just inside the three point line” shooter we’ve probably ever seen at UR. Let’s give some credit.

People who think we will be better without Fore and Buck are crazy.
...put me in the crazy column.
Buck is the more important of the two as his quality do anything/everything game will be missed. But i got the feeling he always wanted to be "The Man" (as alot of players do), but, to be The Man, he had to bring more to the offense than his skillset allowed...too streaky of a shooter for the good of the team (no stats please!) - the offense was never going to be Buck-centered. What Buck brought is more easily replaced however than what Khwan brought with his on ball defense and penetration - im not sure we have anyone like that. That saud, an argument could be made that he was out of place in an offense where outside shoot and post play are premium.
I think their loss will be a wash and another year experience for GG and NS make up for them and we're a better team.

Unfortunately we have become a program and fan base that is always pointing until some elusive point in the future for success. Meanwhile we always have an excuse for the present. This year we have three all time players and guys supoirting then that we were all excited about when they signed, so the time is now. NCAA or bust.

We will not be better this year - that is for sure. We might win more games - but that is a result of a poor schedule.

But if we give the young guys lots of minutes, which might mean sacrificing some or all minutes for Johnson and even keeping Sherod minutes below 28 - then maybe next season the young guys (mainly frosh and RS frosh this year) will have enough experience under their belt to make an NCAA run.

If we make the NCAA's this year - Mooney wins coach of the year for the entire country. Take a 12 win team with 10 Frosh, RS Frosh, or Sophmores to the tourney - that would be unheard of.

Speaking of NCAA and Khwan - is Louisville eligible for the tourney this year?

long way to go before the punishment is handed down. they'll probably get banned from postseason. probably multiple years. but might not happen this season.
