Jacobi 20 runs for 137 total yards, with a 6.8 average, 3 TDs. His longest was 28.
Coprich 14 runs for 30 yards total, with a 2.1 average and 1 TD. His longest was 5.

Coprich had a receiving TD as well, but completely agree. Jacobi was dominant and Coprich got dominated.

Jacobi was amazing but so was Lauletta. He took a huge hit early and just played an absolutely fantastic game. He made a ton of big time throws.

Jacobi was amazing . . . wasn't going to be denied on that last running TD.
As great as Green was, and he was great, I don't understand why they didn't run their big guy fifty times. Their qback had a field day in the second half but threw way too much in the first half without really being that effective.
If you have a big weapon use it. they didn't, fortunately for us.

Coach Rocco said that UR's schemes were set up to force them into the inside. That is what we did.

They didn't run Coprich because every single time they did run, we absolutely stuffed him. If Jay Gruden is coaching Illinios St. they probably would have given him another 20 carries but most coaches are going to go away from the run when you are getting dominated up front like that. Our run defense was incredible.

Green and Lauetta was great. My favorite game moment was when Broadus came in and marched the team right on down the field. Additionally it will take me a book to talk about that offensive line and receivers. Did I mention the D line up against their FBS line. Awesome day to be a Spider!

Incredible preformance tonight from the Spiders. Great O line play and Jacobi finishes runs. The D line was also dominate. Having Muse back in the middle really helps. The scheme of not letting Redbirds have the edges and keeping Roberson in the pocket really worked. Both our QBs were outstanding. Kyle took a jarring hit early but really responded when he got back in the game. He under threw a couple deep balls but was outstanding otherwise. The drive at the end of the first half was simply huge. We were definitely the better team and really pushed them around all night.

Yes...both our QB's did well. DB came in and really showed his running ability immediately. His one throw (I believe only one) was a good gain when needed.

Happend to be at the bar sitting next to the defensive coordinator at VUU tonight, he played for the Bear, career coach at some D1 schools as well.....said our offense looked like an ACC offense and Lauletta is a stud and wondered how so many schools didn't catch him....he wasn't sure who could stop them other then turnovers....

Just had breakfast at the Hampton Inn in Natchitoches LA and met a guy who played with McCorkle at LSU. He was going on and on about the Spiders and our great o-line.

As an old lineman from the leather helmet days. The O-line was crushing and D-line played like Beasts ! I think the ILL. St. might have look past us , you could see the players and the coaches were stunned by the speed of the Spiders !
