What a joke. I just can't believe that we actually just lost the best coach in the history of UR football because of a dumb@$$ AD who won't pay him or support the program like he should. I completely understand why Rocco is leaving and it hurts so much more that he's going to a conference opponent. UD is getting an outstanding coach and I hope he does really well over there. I stand with Rocco and his decision.

As far as UR is concerned, I don't even know where we go from here. Hopefully we won't lose a bunch of assistants and especially vital ones like Mines and Stewart. We also should worry about players transferring to UD too because if I was one of them I think I would follow my coach. Just think about it, the players have to think our administration and school is a joke and if they feel like the school is t supporting the program then why stay? I do not trust our administration to hire a good coach. We aren't going to get Huesman, Shoop, or London. We're going to get some no name that will not be a good fit and please no one mention Broadway as being our next guy. I hope we can hold it together and keep this great thing we have going but it's going to be tough. I am just shaking my head over this. Way to go Keith Gill.

Going from Liberty to UR is a step up.

Going from UR to UD is a lateral move.

If you could combine Liberty AD's aggressiveness and support, with Richmond's conference and winning tradition - Rocco would've been a lifer.

Nothing classy or not classy about it. Its a business. Danny let it be known he was interested. The AD would be negligent to not talk to him or not hire him because "it wouldn't be fair to UR". Not UD's fault, not DR's fault - - - UR made their own bed here - - now they have to lie in it!

Yes, it is a lateral move right now because we are good and they suck. But Delaware was a bellweather of FCS football for many years and is a sleeping giant. Even though its stadium is aging, it still can draw big crowds, has a hungry and loyal fanbase and apparently the willingness to do what it takes to get back to its former glory. There's no reason why Rocco can't make Delaware back into an App State-like program in a few years. And he'll be able to get in most of the players he wants there.

I stand by Danny Rocco and support his decision. I don't like it at all but when you don't get along with your boss and when your boss doesn't support you it's hard to stay. I met coach Rocco with my dad a couple times and he's a high character guy and I stand by him. I'll root for UD and I don't know what I'm gonna do when they play UR but it's gonna be hard for me to not support Rocco.

Well my mom did go to UD so now I actually have a reason to root for them. I don't know how y'all can support us until we get Gill out of here. I have never been so enraged.

If I recall one of the reasons he left was the environment (religious focus) that made recruiting difficult. and he moved up to a multibid conference.

I like Rocco but everyone is replaceable. Stuff happens, go ahead and be mad for a day and then move on. This is what I refer to as a "1st World problem".
