Is marc davis a vcu homer?

Everytime i see nbc12 sports, marc has something to say about vcu but richmond coverage is far and few between..am i missing something???

Nah, he’s very even across the board. He reports stuff when there’s stuff to report and from what I’ve seen does a good job mixing in profile pieces evenly too.

He’s not a vcu homer. vcu is just what people want to hear about more in the sports landscape of Richmond, Virginia. Like it or not but the casual fan is far more interested in vcu than UR and vcu is quite honestly they city of Richmonds team. UR had the chance to captivate more people in the area but you can thank one person for squandering that over the last ten years...

Nah. VCU has a ton of coverage here because they struck the lotto in 2011 and stepped on our throats while we kind of just let it happen and somewhat encouraged it after the fact. Someone feel free to correct me, but didn't admissions give them Bradford Burgess on a silver platter? You know the guy who led them to a final four, whose mom worked at UR (IIRC) and wanted to go to UR. (Kendrick Warren wanted to be a Spider too). Imagine if he is on our 2011 team instead of our crosstown rival? We let them into the A10 (Not disagreeing with the move, but it absolutely helped them elevate their profile). If we win, the coverage will take care of itself.

when our own UR bball and pr staff puts VCU twice into our own release on the 2021 LOI signings we really can’t say much. Need more pride & less pandering to get the attention.
