How long for Rocco

He will stay as long as he feels our administration supports him.

Let's face it, he's not some young up and Comer and he's following in the footsteps of Mike London, who was an abject failure at the p5 level.

I feel good about Rocco being here for a while.

Agree 100%. Not sure I see him at a big time program. But there will be a lot of openings this year. Lots of movement in the ranks. I could see him getting some interest below Power 5 conferences.

If Rocco does accept a new job, I just hope that he doesn't pull a "London" and pack his bags during halftime of our playoff game.

BTW I do really like ML but still have hard feelings about the Appy State game.

What London did everyone does if a job comes along they are interested in. There is no waiting. Temple Coach Rhule meeting today with Missouri and they have a championship game for a first ever New Years day bowl game. No one in Philly is killing him over it (and we aren't exactly noted as sympathetic sports fans here) because this is how it works and everyone knows it. If anything, there is support for him because he is trying to do it right - - - but he's still doing it!

My opinion is that the NCAA should get involved here and make a rule that you can't talk to a coach until the end of everyone's regular season (i.e. right after Army/Navy). No one get s a jump etc. Yeah everyone will send out their feelers and talk to agents etc., but the coaches cant speak to schools and vice versa unitl say Dec. 5 or some set date. Nobody will finalize a hire without talking to the guy first, so that would stop a good part of this nonsense. But until they change the rules, you cant fault a coach for playing the game the way its set up!

Yes I totally agree with what you're saying. Coaches should pursue their dreams. It's just that ML made some questIonable decisions at the end of the game. Not implying that he wanted to lose, but maybe he wasn't really upset that we didn't have another game to play. Gosh now I'm sorry I brought this up, I really don't want to rehash this again. Just say that I don't want Rocco to have the same distractions and lose focus.

Philly, not sure if a ncaa rule or a gentleman's agreement but do not think that a school can speak to a coach without asking permission from his current athletic director but as you say, they can and do speak with their agent so pretty much the same thing. know if i was a coach would definitely want my agent having discussions with those schools that approached and where i was interested. if you do not, some other guy gets the job so you have to play the game. really cannot get angry with coaches for looking out for themselves, heck, schools will fire you as quickly as look at you so you had better have your own back in this business. don't get people who do not understand that, OK to be mad when you lose a coach but should not be mad at him taking care of himself.
