I've been a little down on Gus in preseason, because I think we need to replace Sherod's shooting and not sure he is/was the guy. Looked great on his 3, and played overall tremendous game on both sides of the ball. EL has been touting him, and he was right. Not sure we win this game without his stability and plays he made while we couldn't buy a 3. It's great that we have him next year to carry the torch too, but he will be invaluable this year. CAan be top 6th man in the A10 this year.

Agree. Our best lineup is 0, 3, 4, 22 and 33.

Blake's struggling a little offensively, but playing great defense. he'll heat up eventually. he's a scorer.

Goose is great and a nice option. heck of a sixth man. but that lineup doesn't have enough shooting for me. I'll take my chances that Blake gets going.

I wouldn't. Blake played great on one side of the ball, and we needed it. I think we should have Blake's back a little longer than just one poor offensive game. He's so key to our whole mindset. I yell at the TV at his shot selection as much (or more) as the next guy, but we need him on the court.

Goose just does a lot of good things on the court. I love him coming off the bench as he can play different roles. Gives us great depth at the wing position. His main issue with playing time is that Cayo is playing out of his mind (although I’d love to see a whole season of it)

We definitely need Blake on the court. You cannot under value how important his defense is. His shots will fall, and he is rarely left open, so he makes others better. And, he is an extra ball handler, and super quick out there. All of that and he adds emotion and a fire that every team needs.

Just let Blake be Blake. He is gonna be fine. He is a shooter and sometimes shooter slump a bit. As 4700 and others have noted, his defense has been excellent.

Andre is a the perfect 6th man for this team and I love him in that role. No way is he taking Blake's position on this team.

Love what Goose is bringing off the bench. He has been really crafty getting to the basket and "fin"ishing - pun intended. He looks really confident out there.

I thought Blake had a good game. He is a disrupter and as noted, a spark plug that was missing from this group prior to last season.

15 minutes. Not nearly enough regardless but especially when Blake is so off. I'm getting flashbacks of Wainwright mismanaging Bucknor minutes.

Was just thinking the same thing. I looked it up, and he's averaging 16.8 minutes a game so far. Definitely not enough. Grace is averaging 11. I get that they play different positions and sometimes we need Grace in there to defend, but we need to give another 5 or 6 to Goose at a minimum. He adds a totally different dimension to the team on offense. He takes smart shots, makes solid plays.

Start him, bench Francis. Jacking up shot after contested shot early in the shot clock should be considered a turnover.

Goose is a good glue guy. Right now he is getting 16 minutes a game which is probably right where he needs to be. He is one of those guys that is not going to score a lot of points or do anything flashy but he can stabilize things or maybe give a little spark. He is a key part of the team and we need him cause we don't have much depth. But not sure how much you can increase his role or minutes cause that cuts into Burton, Francis, and even Gilyard minutes.
But don't worry - next season, assuming everyone leaves - he will be playing 30+ minutes a night.

Hustle and speed at both ends of the court make me want to see Goose on the court more particularly when we are struggling. His presence can shake things up.
